usps rates & customs forms are getting tougher!!

I just sent a package to Canada, in order to insure it you must send it priority mail.

a 1 1/2 pound package cost $20.75 with insurance up to $75.00. over that insurance cost is extra.

the postal clerk now has to type in all the info on your large customs form into their computer. which took her almost 5 mins. she said every item in the box must now be listed on the form and on her computer.

they are already worried about the long lines at Christmas because of this new law.

I think I'm really done shipping Ebay items out of the U.S.

I took a package from work to the post office the other day and ran into the same thing.
It was going to New Zealand and it took the woman more than 10 minutes to type everything in.
And this was after we printed the postage from the USPS website, she said they still have to type everything in.
I told my boss and we are going to stop offering USPS for international shipping.
