translating the japanese on the machines

ok i don't know how i managed to do it... but i changed the background back to original by (without the key in it at all) playing with the difficulty button and the spin lever... i thought i kept track of what i did, but it didn't work twice... i held the blue button down for 10? seconds, released, then held down the spin lever and pressed the blue button 5 times. stuck a coin/token/j.r.r. tolkien (i don't know what you'd like to call them) in and viola back to noisy flying stones... but i couldn't go backwards... i'm still experimenting. i'll update, i assume something along the same procedure would work for any other rodeo machine of the same year to do something of the sort, for anyone else listening out there.

My back round changes randomly based on what mission or level you are on (as far as I can tell). That's why I thought my center line isn't paying out, because it is in some mission mode???
I too can play with 2 or 3 credits, it is one of the few games I've owned that can do that!
