    Default heavy's mame project

Ok well here's where I'm at now. You can see where Ive taken the old door system off the machine and am fabricating something different. Glass is missing off the top, wife broke it. The other side is just like this side with a slide out control box. During the day I've been working on the cabinet, and at night, working on the programming. This machine plays m.a.m.e, daphne (dragon's lair) , plays dvd movies, and has wireless internet so one could listen to the news, internet radio or whatever.

Well, I thought I'd have some more pictures for you today, but these panels I'm building are taking some time. Each side of cabinet is to consist of 3 panels, trapezoid shape, and routed edges for a nice appearance. I've cut and routered all 6, painted routed edge on all 6, stained 5, clearcoated 4. I'll send some pics tomorrow, but I didn't want to rush a good thing. I feel like I'm alone in this mame room...I think I'll grafitti the walls.

Today I finished up the panels, but they have to dry for 3 hours, so I'll finish that up in the morning. I subscribed to a service that has alot to offer, but one of the things is called a video snap. The way this works is when I go to my menu of available games, as I scroll through them it shows a movie of the game in action in a small box in the corner. This makes the menu system I have even cooler! They probably have every game known to mankind. So I'll be programming that in tonight and also finishing up on programming controller 2. So I'll see y'all after I get some hard copy of my progress. Take it easy.

Well I got up this morning and finished up all the panels and took a couple of pics. There is still alot of cosmetic work and programming left, but this gives an idea of where I'm at in the project. The wheels and platform are not part of the machine I still have to get some more smoked glass too.

I had the glass cut today; really adds alot of bling and a pro look. I'm still working on cosmetics and tweaking, like the black strip below the glass will be covered in vinyl like the control drawers.
