balls hitting the glass on launch

I had recently picked up a vintage Nishijin pachinko at a pawn shop. All the mechanics work fine in the game. However, when balls are launched, they are grazing the glass inside the game. Even when I tilt the game back, it still continues to do so.

I want to adjust the ramp to fix the angle issue. However before attempting to do so, I want to get the board's advice. What's the best way to adjust the ramp?

I think what you're hearing is the sound of Pachinko. It's normal to hear both the ball shooting up the glass, and the smack of the ball against the glass as it falls through the pins. The machine should only tilt back a degree or two.

I replaced the glass in my machines with plexiglas. That quieted it down a lot.

you might check the actual shooter hammer to be sure that it's not hitting the balls from behind, and making them scrape the front glass.

mine hit occasionally, but not always.

Does your machine have 2 pieces of glass in it, or is the piece on the inside missing
