Default Pachi Stands - What is the best, lowest cost option?

Hope this is in the right area. I saw there's a pachinko stand area, but now a pachislo stand area. I read some great suggestions on here that are no longer available in stores, such as the cabinets from Target that were discontinued. I checked walmart, target, office max and can't seem to find a erfect stand. Now there is a stand that I have to check on when it's back in stock at petsmart that is a 10 gallon fish tank stand, but it's $70. I was really hoping for something closer to $40. Does anyone have any ideas? I just want a simple BLACK stand/cabinet.
    Thanks in advance!

i have a couple of these, i didn't use the wheels and put some small angle brackets under the top and shelf to beef them up.

if the store doesn't stock them, shipping is cheap

I use the cheap black TV carts from Walmart. They should still have them for $16 to $19 depending on where you are. They work great and are cheap...

I saw the TV carts at walmart and thought they may be a bit low for a pachislo. Do you like the height? I have my machine on a 17" table now and think it need to be 8-10" higher.

I take that back - i just looked at THIS STAND and it's 23.5" tall. I wanted one 23-27" tall, so that's actually perfect. I was hoping for something with a closed front, but I'd rather have cheap than perfect.

    Thanks guys!

This is the cart I have. They are made by Sauder, but are branded differently for Walmart. They're 20.9" tall, and aren't too bad as far as height goes. I use a Big Red adjustable shop stool that's just the right height. I currently have 20 of these stands and have yet to have any of them collapse or break. I can put them together in about 5 minutes now.

is 20.9" tall without the caster? The walmart site says 23", but I'll take the word of someone who has one over walmart's website.

These are the same stands I have for my pachis as well. They hold up well, and depending on your chair height, they work pretty well. We use some low sitting folding chairs/kitchen table chairs to play ours so it works out good. I don't think these stands would work well for a bar stool or anything that tall.

I'm planning on getting shorter barstools that match my taller stools. They will be 24" tall. Think these will be way too short for a 24" stool? I really don't want to spend the $70 on a fish tank stand, but I need it to be the right height.

The height is with the casters. I have some of my machines in the cabinets from Hiro at CF Export, and they look like they were made to go together. I can post a pic when I get home from work.

Good to hear about these stands. I've been trying to figure out what to put my Pachi's on. My concern has always been about the weight. I've built custom cabinets for my machines which adds about 20 pounds (give or take) to the weight of the machine. That by itself isn't a big deal, BUT with the cabinet, my Pachi's now hold just over 9000(!) balls each in the top hopper PLUS another 5000 in the discharge tray at the bottom of the machine. Pachinko balls weigh 0.01204 pounds each (weighed them myself). So a full top hopper adds another 108 pounds. Now if a player uses the machine to dispense balls for play via the DaveRob dongle (best invention ever) then the overall weight doesn't change as balls work their way from the top hopper into the bottom collection tray as players play them. If a player brings balls to the machine (say from another machine) and plays them then I could end up with 14000 balls in the cabinet. That brings the total weight to over 200 pounds. I was thinking about wall mounting them, but with 9 machines (and sure to be more...), that's over a TON of weight hanging from the wall studs. You can see the headline now: "House collapses from pachinko hobby turned obsession."

    Thanks
    Dean

Has anyone seen a stand that would hold 3 games? Maybe a couch table that isn't to expensive?

I like the TV stands LD/MRGOODBURN, I was just looking for something that is one piece that I don't have to make and is "about" 28-30 inches tall.

I have 2 of these saunders desks that i got from walmart, i don't see them listed online now.
they were about 30.00 each shipped.
I did some extensive beefing up as you can see by the pics.
i added a 1 by 4 across the back, 4 large angle brackets, a 1 by 4 under the top with 2 angle brackets.
i've had 2 pachsilos sitting on each one of them for a few years with no bowing of the top or problems.

    Spoiler

the desk is 28 inches high and easily wide enough for 2 pachis

These are the best bang for the buck - $12.99 at Ikea.

Thanks everyone! I ended up buying the TV stands from Walmart. They're a bit low for what I want, so I'll build 8-10" risers for the pachislos. I'll put a couple pics up here when I'm done.

Now I just need pachinko, pinball, and an arcade game or two.

I used the $20 Walmart TV stands for all of my machines. However to get more height and to keep them all level I built platforms for them to sit on.

In the bedroom I needed to be able to move the stands with machines in order to access the closet so they needed to remain on castors.

The problem was that the stands would then be lower then the rest of the machines so to remedy that I simply bought larger casters to even out the height of the platforms.

You may want to pick up larger casters for the height that you want on your stands.

In the first pick you can see the stands on a platform.

in the second pic to the left of the photo, you can make out the larger Blue (The only color Home Depot had in the size I needed) casters mounted to the maple colored TV stands.

Thanks! I think I'll do that...and i'l take the casters off the shelves, ad put casters on the platform. Great idea...way better than building little boxes for under each pachi.

My wife found a nice sturdy sofa table at an outlet store for $18. When i got my first two machines, I set them on it to see how it fit. Well...They haven't moved for over two years now.

She went and found herself another table. (until I buy more machines)

    Hi Folks,
I have just 1 machine - The Fuji Thunderbirds.

Back here in Scotland I bought a 300mm wide Kitchen Unit carcase, turned it round 45 degrees so front panel is it's side & screwed kitchen cabinet doors on each of the 3 sides. Beauty of this is you can pick from wide range of doors in many colors. I also used a door panel for the worktop which the machine rests on. I chose Maple doors to match decor. Our local B&Q was selling the doors at 75% discount so was a bargain. You can store stuff in cabinet also.& if need be is easy to screw or bolt a panel on rear to secure machine. It was very easy to build.& looks professional.
