    Default Need help with power

I recently purchased a Heiwa at a yard sale for $30. I have never seen one before, and thought it would be great in my game room. I have read several posts on this site (very helpful) on understanding how the machines work, however I am not sure how to get power to it. I have tried wiring up batteries, and last night restored to 110V. Not sure that was a good idea, I keep blowing fuses and after sparks flew from the outlet I decided to stop. I have attached some pictures.

I am not sure of the age of the machine. It has Ace cards on the face.

    Any help would be great.

110v AC is a tad too much, a 9V battery is more than enough, you have a couple of low voltage bulbs that go on when you are out of balls (Under the ball supply Tray and Ball Path) and when you get a jackpot. Upper right corner is where you connect the power. Many times the light bulbs are burned out or otherwise unable to accept the power so check them first, and then work backwards to the power input block. Hope that helps

    Welcome to PachiTalk Johnny Mac!!

As far as I am aware, a vintage Pacinko doesn't really require a power supply as such, just a 9 volt battery as jwegger says to power a couple of bulbs

Original voltage was 8VAC, but really it's based on whatever your lights are. If you put 9volt lights in a 9volt battery will do, you can find a decently priced wall transformer to save buying batteries all the time.

I posted a couple short youtubes with getting the electrical going, if you're interested.

basically, there are two circuits. one for the jackpots and one for when the balls are low.

two bulbs, two switches. the voltage can be either 9v AC or DC, since incandescant bulbs don't care, but 110V is too much. fuses can be around 1 amp.

i find that the contacts of the leaf switches often need cleaning, and the bulbs need to be checked, both for their filament and for corrosion where they contact the base.

    have fun!

as others have pointed out 110v is way too much .i would get a 9v ac adapter for something like a calculator, and cut the small plug off and connect the wires to the terminals on your machine.you will have to use trial and error to find which 2 of the 3 terminals works.keep in mind you may have blown the bulbs in your machine with the 110v,in which case you will need to replace them.
