    Default My New Project Pin

This is a "Circa 1933" tabletop pinball by Fascination Industries. It appears to be a re-branded machine made by a company called Allied Leisure. They have a machine with the exact same layout called "Take Five". This machine is not currently working but will power up and the lights come on (a good sign). It seems that it sat in a barn for the last 20 years or so after one of the flippers broke off. Unfortunately this piece is missing, so I will need to track down an entire flipper assembly. Theres a few broken plastics, the rubbers all need replacing, the cabinet will need quit a bit of touchup. I will begin taking photos of the whole machine this weekend and plan to document the entire restoration for the amusement of our wonderful community.

I must admit I was unaware that sit down pinball machines even existed.

And I got it for a mere $50. Thanks Craigslist!

    Nice Find.
The only problem with these pinballs is that the machine specific parts are hard to find. (I.E. Plastics, circuit boards, ROMS..)
Things like Coils, Flipper Bats, bulbs, rubbers are common so that shouldnt be a problem.

As for your broken flipper, it just might be a broken flipper bat, which is easily replaced.

Lights on and nobody home eh?

Check for correct voltages going to the MPU. Hopefully you have a manual with schematics. If not, I believe you should be able to find one online someplace. If its like most pins, there needs to be +5v going to the MPU. And thats where I would start.

Good find, and Good luck. I personally havent played one of these, but I hear they can
    be quite fun to play..

    Ah Revmondo,

A quick one to purchase you are. Made contact with seller did I. But slow my efforts to obtain were and now your gain my loss is. Watching your efforts and wanting to see the results I will be.

(Sorry... the Star Wars stuff just brings out the Yoda in me.)

My weekend was too busy and I was unable to make the trip soon enough. Obviously you must reside closer than I to the seller. I'm glad someone on this board got this machine so I can see how it turns out.

    Congrats!

Heres some info for your cocktail table

    The Internet Pinball Machine Database

I was looking for a cocktail table at Allentown this weekend and the only one was going for $200 (as is) It was made by a co I had never heard of so I passed as getting parts would be impossible.

Eros one is the machine I really want as it is has a beautiful playfield! Not that Circa 1933 isint really wonderful too!

trouble you will have finding parts for this I think.
    Sorry
Actually some parts are kind of universal such as coils, switches, lights and If you know how to solder then fixing your boards is possible also since transitors, resistors, Caps, etc. can be found on Mouser.com Some of the MPU chips can be a bit more tricky, but several people will 'burn' a new chip for you, if the source can be tracked down. Check this link to a machine with same or very similar electronics http://www.ipdb.org/files/2492/Take_...nce_Manual.pdf
