My first Pachislo not working

So I bought a King Camel machine that needs repair I was hoping it would be a simple fix but having looked at it maybe not. I was told it was working fine then one day just stopped.

The problem is when the machine is switched on it lights up but thats about it.

I've checked all the fuses and done a reset on it but it hasn't helped.

The panel and reel lights come on but the credit and game count LED's don't light up. The Red LED panel to the right seems to show random rows of lights from right to left. When you insert tokens they just fall right through. Also when it is first powered up the bottom speaker make quite a loud hum. The single LED display inside the bottom left hand corner of the window next the the blue button isn't lit.

Any help in getting the machine running would be most appreciated.

i saw that one on craig's list. was thinking about driving up there.check all plugs seated properly.

power supply or transformer would be were I would start.

the only time the inside led is on is during the reset, to set the skill level. you use the button next to it to change the level. what procedure did you use for your reset?

I've check all plugs, they look ok. I've got 24v out the transformer.
On the switch box inside the 12v green LED is lit.

The odds LED inside does not come on during reset. I followed the reset that was printed inside the machine.

Turn off machine
turn reset key to the right
turn on
await LED on front door (but I have no LED lit on the front door)
joystick down for 5 seconds
turn reset key to the left

Didn't help. The top of the 4 LED lights up when the reset key is turned to the right so the switch must be working. If only the LED displays on the front would light up. Are these 12v LED's?

Check the wiring that goes from the door to the inside of the cabinet. It may be that a wire got pinched when the door was shut.

I think I might have found the problem. On the box that the reset key switch is on is the first connector at the front with the red/black wires the 12v out? Is it AC or DC?

If it is I have no voltage coming out although the 12v green LED is lit on the box

I've just checked it voltage again across the red/black out of the box and it's 60v DC. Is this correct?

i read 0 volts across the pwr supply plug, must be a switch. i'll be back in a 1/2 hour gotta run.

Check the wiring that goes from the door to the inside of the cabinet. It may be that a wire got pinched when the door was shut.

Wire looms to the door look good.

ok i was checking to the case rather than across the wires. i show 32.5 vdc. it jumps by 0.1 vdc when i unplug it from the reels on the other end.
are you getting 24vac from your xformer?

Yep 24v ac from transformer. But 60v dc on the red/black and you got 32v?

check across the coin overflow pins mounted on the rear wall in the back right corner. i read 31.5 Vdc

Re checked mine. 56v dc so thats twice the voltage of yours. Doesn't sound good.

sounds like it's time to crack open the PS.

try unplugging everything from the PS except the 24 in and then check the outputs to those two spots. it could be and outside load.

Just did that and when I took out one the fuses to check it was seated correctly and it popped. There must still have been a charge on the power supply as all the wires were disconnected.

Oh well I will have to get a new fuse tomorrow and continue.

I'm glad I only got it for $35, looks like it's going to be a door stop.

The fuse fitted was a 1A not a 6A
