Max Bet Question

I am trying to find a pattern here.

I have a game, and lets say I put 33 in, so the credit meter shows 30. So I spin, and I get a payoff of 8. The 30 changes to a 38, another window shows 8, and I hit max bet, and the credit goes down to 35. Makes sense so far right?

Now, same scenario, but when I hit the payoff of 8, the credit window stays the same, and the 8 shows up in the "payout" window. So I press the Max Bet, and the credit goes down to 27. The * is never added to the existing credit window.

When this happens, I run the rest procedure, and it goes back to normal (scenario one above).

I can't pin down under what conditions causes scenario two to occur. Now, there is a little sliver button directly to the left the coin insert slot. I have tried pressing that, but it just deposits one credit.

I thought it was by accidentally turning the door key to the left instead of the right, like when doing a soft reset, but that is not it either.

I can't figure this one out!

shouldnt it be spitting all coins into the tray if you hit the payoff meter?

If I hit the payoff button and hold it down for about 2 or 3 seconds, it does spit out all the coins. I am talking about I guess in "Credit Mode", since I think that is all this machine supports (Kung Fu Lady II).

Just once in a while you get a payout amount, but it does not add it to the credit window. It does not spit it out. If you press the "payout" button, ALL the coins come out (the 8 you won, and the other 30 that are displayed in the other window).

It's sounds like you're in a bonus round to me. Anytime the max bet will only generate a one token bet is then.

No, the Max Button always will take three away from the credit when I press it. The problem I am trying to describe is I just got a match that had a payout of 8 tokens, and the 8 tokens shows up in the payout window (coins do not automatically come out). Most of the time the 8 will be added to the credit, and I just hit max bet to keep on playing. However, sometimes the 8 displays in the payoff, but is not added to the credits. If I hit max bet or add tokens under this condition, the payout goes to zero - it does not spit the 8 out or add them to the credit.

I get you now, I misunderstood earlier. Ive never seen that hapen before? Very strange stuff, does it alwyas do it or just sometimes? Maybe it was at a crooked backalley parlor and they wer eup to no good? :twisted:

It just does it sometimes. Also, the Max Bet light does not always blink. Maybe I will call the tech support in the AM and ask whats up :<

Is it just for that spin that no payout or credit is taking place? If not, can you continue to play and win till your out of tokens in your credit bank?

I think that when it happens, it continues to happen from that point on. Now, I can always hold down the far left button, and get the payout number and the credit number to dispense in the hopper. But, if you do not do that and you drop in a token or press max bet, you may lose the 2/8/15 tokens you just won. At first, I just figured I always had to hold down the payout, and just reenter the tokens. Then it started to work properly. then it stopped. So, I opened it up and pressed the red button inside, then performed the full reset instructions after that. Tonight it seems to be acting correctly, but I am not sure how long it will last.

I thought maybe there were conditions that would make it act differently and being new to these I just did not understand them yet.

In credit mode, they should always allow up to 50 credits and payout anything higher than that into the token tray.

Next time it happens (hope it doesn't again), continue to play that way and see if it continues to not pay off to you in either credits or tokens.

Have you checked all connetions to make sure all are full in ?
You might have a connetor cocky eyed, not fully in.

I will check the connections tonight. It is a yamasa model. Last night I removed the sound board / housing in the lower left side, and found a weird looking token and a machine screw back there. I cleaned the dirt out and reattached everything really well. I will check the logic boards above the reels when I get home. If that does not fix it, I will contact the tech support folks (TDC Games).

THeres a perfect example of one of the places a token cna find its way too. Ive foudn them all over. One do the stranger ones was under the power supply. It was almost brown from age and dirt/dust.
