Wow! Just when I think we're the only ones (in the USA) that have ever found such a neat machine, I find this site
The wife-n-I were browsing through a garage sale on Friday and she saw these dust-covered "slot machines" in the back corner and a deal was struck
I discover these are probably old models by reading through the pages here but they're fun and are keeping us both out of the dang casino in town
I spent Friday afternoon cleaning them up and about three hours later nearly every friend I know was over playing on them in our dining roomEveryone kept asking where the "drink lady" was and when she'd be bringing another 'round
Anyway. We have two now 'Taco-slot' and 'Marine Battle' they both work great except for one blown bulb and what I am guessing is maybe a bad logic board in Marine Battle that prevents the lights from coming on when the top reel spins. I spent a few more hours over the weekend to pull the reel and check the bulbs etc and all check out (tested on the other machine) so this leads me to believe the circuit board is the problem.
So.... Does anyone know if I can buy a replacement logic board for this or do we just accept the lights won't work on that top (horizontal spin) reel?
I'm glad that someone else mentioned there is a "12 step program" for these machines. The wife is already hunting down more on the 'net and expanding the new house plans to include a "game room" for the anticipated growth of our own collection![]()
Thanks in advance for any input or directions.
