Default Simple Green safe for Cell/playfield cleaning?

Good news! Got 1000 balls today (ebay purchase) and I've finally been able to confirm my machine is fully functional. Knocking down those jackpots -- and getting the payout!

So, I'm moving on to next phases of cleanup. The one area where I've shoelace-Brasso'd the nail heads is lookin pretty sweet. Once I get those done tonight I want to put in more time on the playfield/cell (terminology??). My initial cleaning was done with Windex on a q-tip, then I read something about the ammonia maybe being not so good for the cell. Bought some Simple Green today, but it doesn't show ingredients. Is it safe for cleaning playfield area? Should I dilute?

i wouldn't use it, read the back on what you should not use it on,

plastic is one of them. I have tried it on cartridge video games and they feel sticky afterwards.

Simple green can disolve a fine layer of the plastic, that is were you get the stickyness. It works good on pachislo's but I would not use it on a pachicko play field. Outside plastic is ok.

I have restored seven vintage machines and have used 409 on all of them to clean the cell. I never spray it directly on the cell; I wet an old cotton rag with it and wrap it around my fingertip to gently wipe away the grime (I use Q-Tips for the hard to reach areas). Afterwards, I go over the cell again with a clean cotton rag to wipe away any residue and "buff" the cell for a nice shine.

Good feedback. I'll not use it on the playfield. Will pick up some 409 tomorrow to play it safe.
