I have seen where "shooting" the lightening bolts might be the thing to do. Three "random" (maybe) things happen that a lightening symbol might trigger a bonus...
1. When the reels are spinning all of the lights go out and the sub woofer speaker kicks in (in the back) and sounds like loud thunder clap (this generally wakes you up if you are dozing!)
2. When the reels are spinning and it sounds like a metal barrel or something rolling down a hill.
3. When the AMERICAN voice kicks in and does a count down of THREE--TWO--ONE ...(but I did this once without lining up the bolts and I did go to Bonus)
Did you guys see and of this stuff happen (the machine was set to 6 payback and I only had it over the weekend) (THANKS DAVIS)
Tell me if you found out something else or different..

Only thing ive seen is when the lights go out and the 4th reel sounds like a machine running in a cycle, maybe that the barrel thing yoru talking about?? Im not sure, but it sure is fun tryign to find out. Ive yet to hear the thunderclap or american voice. I did hear it play music out of nowhere one time. It was playing as the reels were spinning but we werent in BB or RB, let alone GigaBonus. Funny thing is we didnt win when the rspin was over either. I think its almost ready to hit, im still not sure what its set on. I think it has to be 1., casue ive dumped alot in and hit nothing big yet!

I have saw (and heard) the random music, I did not hit on it either, and I think we are talking about the same thing with the barrel rolling. I have heard the "count down" voice only twice, the first time with only the THREE, and I hit nothing, but the second time it went all the way to ONE and the 3 sevens locked into the 4th reel. You will know when the THUNDER sound effects come up...my kid about fell off of his seat when it happened last night, we did not hit the sevens, but I think thunder should go with lightening, but I could be wrong...

Just received mine tonight (2nd try). Cleaning it up and adding volume then playing tomorrow!

GIga has much better light show, by far. IT goes through a bunch of random colors while its setting there. It also has cold cathode lighting above the reels. I love it!
I haven't seen DDK, but Giga Fever does put on a great light show. It is great just to leave on and what the light cycles.
Like Davis said you have the Multi Colored Electroluminesce or whatever it's called. It appears to have nearly infinite colors on the sides and then the Cold Cathodes over the reels (Red, Yello, Green, & Blue). Plus backlit reels and to finish it off a simple red led bar near the top of the machine that dances around. The side bar colors can go multiple as well. In other words it's not just 1 color to the next. It transitions and can even have a rainbow effect.
The only downside I have encountered is that I am currently on my second one and it too has reel damage.

Nope not yet, I shot an email to American Syscom and asked if they would sell the right reel of the one I sent back since I know that reel was okay.

Yeah! The overall game play is good, and teasing.
The sounds are pretty good too!
The light show makes the machine!
I tend to like the mechanical ones more anyways since there is no LCD screen to see over and over and over again (those can get boring).
I took the best of lighting technology and old school reel playing.

me too, i hav eshyed away from anything lcd at the moment. I had a speed racer(actually the winner never payed for it on ebay, so im relisting it) and I love SR but even then the lcd got old very fast. The giga is a blast to play though.
I have put about 2000 coins in it now and man there are all sorts of mini rounds aren't there.
The 4th reel will go high speed, reverse, etc.

Yeah it gets goin like a jet engine and then goes both ways, i guess it also talks some in english too. I heard it play music the other day when i was in normal play.
Where can I see the Giga Fever in action ? :roll:
