    Default On-Q Legrand Module Systems

    On-Q Legrand Module Systems.

    Like many of you, I live in a home that pre-dates cable. What this means is we have had to patch work our cable/Ethernet. And in my case I mean "patch work".

    While my signal has been ok, it has never been great. I have always felt that this was from the way my system had been inter connected. The On-Q switching station provide the perfect option for me. I purchased the '14 Enclosure', '8 Way Video Module', and 'Video Amplifier Module'.

    The 14 inch Enclosure allows you to snap in the modules that you need. There are many different size and styles of enclosures, but for my project I was only doing the cable:

    * Rugged 14" steel enclosure for new and retrofit projects
    * Connection point for phone, video, data, audio, intercom and camera systems
    * Surface or recess mounting

    The 8 way Video Module:

    * Cable company approved for digital cable, HDTV and high-speed Internet
    * Bi-directional for digital services
    * Snaps into On-Q Enclosure

    The Video Amplifier Module:

    *One CATV/antenna input (amplified); one output
    * Provides 13 dB gain to incoming signal
    * Bi-Directional for digital services

    This project took me a couple hours to complete. But it allowed me to centrally locate all the cable in my home. And now all the TV's in my home have wonderful reception. Since this was a retro fit several walls had to be opened open and then repaired afterwards... But it was so worth it.

    Iv'e worked in many of these over the years. a bit of advise: label every wire well, buy a box 40% larger than you think you need, that way it will only be 20% too small.

    Do they sell .45s so you can save some time with drilling?

    Is that when you tell the wife to go stand on the other side of the wall to tell you when it comes through? Didn't this happen somewhere before?
