I don't remember who put the first one up but they were certainly one of the first ones.

Well here's a "trusted" seller lying about how many Exhaust's have been sold on Ebay this year. I've sold over 5 by myself on ebay , in the last 6 months.

I'm pretty sure they did. I think I even bid on it. Don't remember if that's the one I won, or if I won the 2nd or 3rd one they listed.

Even so, they should probably change their listing and say something like "we were the first to offer this machine on eBay." 'Cause this one certainly isn't the first on eBay.

We alone sold 4 exhaust machines on ebay in 2004! That would bring the total to at least 9!

Take a look at their ad for a Hanabi Hyakkei.
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...11242&rd=1

The machine uses the ARUZE display which has a 15" diagonal. They advertise it as 18".

I think they were the first ebay seller to claim "there is a holographic projector". Most of the other dealers jumped on the bandwagon and claim that their machines have holographic screens also.

Their ebay ad says its "one of the rarest EVER" & "only 550 were made".

The Aruze Corp. 2003 Annual Report says "It set a new record when over 100,000 units were sold in a single month."
    http://www.aruze.com/ir_e/ir_library/031120/031120.html

Somehow I don't think the animation for the attract mode is "the 4th of July celebration in New York City".

I think they started selling then on ebay in June and have had an ad for one almost every week. How many times now have they sold "the 1st and ONLY model ever to be sold on Ebay" and "the last one that we have in stock"?

Is there anything that can be done about fraud on ebay?

pachinko_pallace and texasauction have two of the "more creative" copy writers in the business. None of them that I've seen, don't at some point stretch the truth to make their auction sound as good as it possibly can. Unless the buyer complains to ebay I doubt very serioulsy that ebay is going to bite the hand that feeds them.

It reminds me of a movie "Amazon Women on the Moon". Classic skit movie. One segment was "BS OR NOT". In the Ripley's Believe it or not Style.

Maybe that's the title we should have given to either the model or vendors section. If people are really interested in whether it's really holographic image or simply a flat one dimensional image, they only have to come and ask.

    It doesn't... plain and simple!!!
Anyone that has one can tell you that (including me!) Unless there were dozens of Twin Towers in NYC, that doesn't fly!!!

I've been here before... and been beaten down about this.
There is a difference between being "creative" and "deceptive"

And now... I speak up again... because this is my opinion. (See disclaimer at bottom of sig)...
Because THIS claim just burns my balls:
"The other interesting thing is that the holographic images are a representation of the 4th of July celebration in New York City. Apparently programming was began prior to 911 so you can clearly see the Trade Center in the display... Yet another thing to make this machine all the more collectible. "

People continue to try to make a buck on this NATIONAL DISASTER that brought us to war... and lost thousands of lives! It disgusts me!!!

How about a new title "Ebay Where Creative Righting is used and needed" (My Pun).

Let's not get our panies to tight here, I only brought this forth for a lot of the newer members. You need to read the add copy of an auction with your tongue in your cheek.

There is a very good ebook on this subject floating around here, PM me I still have a few copies of it.

You don't walk in a Car Lot and believe all they say, Please Don't Believe all that is being wirting in these adds. These dealers are all selling the same machines. So to get you the buyer to read and than bid on their auctions. They are going to be very creative in their wording, some more than others.

I even have been creative in the copy for the machines I sell, when I call the Zett-30 a tank We all know it is not a tank, it is just bringing a flavor forward to help sell the features these machine have of being very well built.

The only thing I really take offence to is the use of the N.Y. Tradaged. To make money from the blood of others deaths is very wrong.

On ebay it takes a little wisedom of what you are bidding on, that is why we are here.

There is a difference between calling something a tank and lying about how many of something has sold in a year, or leaving the ad to say this is the first one on ebay, or saying there may never be another one when you have more than 1 in stock, or what the machine was created to look like, or how many speakers are in a machine (see 7 speaker Fever Queen ads). Below are the definitions and I feel is really all that needs to be said.

Comparing a slot machine to a Tank...
met·a·phor - A figure of speech in which a word or phrase that ordinarily designates one thing is used to designate another, thus making an implicit comparison.
Placing false information in an ad...
lie - Something meant to deceive or give a wrong impression.

    Zcores13,

I can't dance around that, you hit it center head. That's why that ebook is still needed out here to help the newer person learn fast what is wheat and what is shaft.
