Default Any advice? Regarding Purchase of Vintage Pachinko.

    Hello,

I'm seriously cosidering going for a vintage pachinko on ebay but was wondering if you could take a look at these pics and tell me if you can see any obvious problems with the machine. I've emailed the seller and the machine comes with no balls and as such he couldn't tell me if it worked or not (anyone in the UK sell pachinko balls?). Finally any good idea of how much an average vintage pachinko weighs so that I can get an idea of courier costs.

Nice Sankyo, looks to be very complete, possible needs a good cleaning, but nice design on the playfield.

Haven't weighed a vintage in a while, so no idea on weight

I weighed one of mine that is a similar model and it's about 30 lbs. From the photos this pachinko looks like it's in really good shape, even has a transformer to run the lights.

That is a very nice looking Vintage...

Don't forget to factor any wrapping / packing materials into your weight calculations,

Maybe the Seller would be able to weigh it for you??

    Good Luck

Thanks for help everyone. The weight sounds about right sharmoni, someone else had a vintage pachinko listed and stated the weight which was more less the same as you said.
So does anyone know of a seller in the UK supplying Pachinko balls as buying those from abroad can be expensive due to the postage and pachinko without balls won't be much fun (thats assuming I get it as I bet lots of people have their eye on it)

USPS shipping on the last vintage I bought was $32.50 from Oklahoma to Florida.

Looks like it's in pretty good shape -- I've definitely seen (and received) worse from ebay. It probably needs a pretty good cleaning though.

The last ones I ever bought extra were from Steve (777heaven/Skyspecials),

although I'm pretty sure he doesn't have many spare these days, you could always ask him if he has any coming in his next container which is due to arrive in November, I think he said...

A well packed machine could easily go up to 50 lbs. I always get scared how the machine is going to be packed when the shipping is real low. If the front window is glass I alway ask the seller to remove it and not ship it with the glass. I've had machine faces badly scrapped from broken glass during shipping in a poorly packed box.
