    The piano hinge gives a cleaner look in my opinion ( I did have to cut about 3" off it to line up with my machine), if you'll note the original machine's hinges at the top & bottom of the machine are still functional, but it is easier to use the latches I've installed because there is no key for the lock on the front.
    I took the lock apart last night and bought a blank key this morning that I will cut myself with my dremel tool to fit the lock. Still, it will be easier to use my hinge & latches, otherwise I would have to reposition the ball tray every time the machine gets opened.
