Stacked up in the basement right now, 2 pachislos and 1 palot in the garage.

    Totals:

    8 empty frames

    68 machines (2 - 1/2 size)

    1 desktop unit

    26 cells

    2 pachislos

So far finished one machine, one cel.

Yellow Cab Golden Version is in the kitchen, covered, till I can devote special time for it. Cel and all electronics except shooter mech were removed before it was shipped (blanket wrapped in the trunk of my car). I have to dig out my YC for the parts to redo it.

Still too early to tell about Spin Luck. The reels and the Flex-disc move freely (the disc after I took it apart and dried it). It's cleaning up nicely so far.

Does anyone know how to get the control board off the left inside (the sealed one)? There's one screw bottom left (looking at the board, easily removed), and 4 with anti-tamper screws. I'd hate to have to drill them all out. As soon as I get that board, the upper rear one (sounds/lights controller) and power supply cleaned up, I'm going to reconnect everything outside the case and fire (bad choice of words!) it up. Fingers, toes and other appendages will be crossed!

An interesting machine to redo, glad I've got the Harley as a reference, even with pictures!

You have to drill the Tamper Plugs to get those screws out. The second Harley that I returned had that done and they had broken the tamper seal on the main chip to remove it. Losen those 4 screws then tilt the front of the board towards the hopper and it slides out.

If you need any info as far as voltages and such let me know and I'll check them on my machines.

I also have a spare pay out board. (Top right) that Pat gave me. It's yours if you need it.

Gentlepeople, I give you the lastest machine to be resurrected:

    Spin Luck!

The machine had been under 6' of muddy water for about a week. Removed the door and disassembled, scrubbed, cleaned and polished that, then removed the electronics from the case and scrubbed the case (starting to turn white) with 409 and let dry outside. A little musty still, but Febreeze should take care of that. You wouldn't know to look at it that it wasn't fine. Disassembled cleaned and reassembled the reels (took LOTS of pics so they went back the way they came out!). Next came the hopper, first part that was rusted to the point of not moving. Just the front bushing on the motor, easily freed and lubricated. Cleaned the circuit boards with a tooth brush in the sink under fresh water, let them dry all day. Decided it was time to test this thing out so I put all the boards back in the case, installed the door and installed all the cables (still gotta clean those!). Installed the hopper, plugged it in, flipped the switch and...

    nothing

Checked all the power cables several times, still nothing. Removed the power supply, checked the voltage at the power plug, yup, power. Checked voltages on any of the pins, some bizzare voltages, mostly low or 0. Opened the power supply again and checked the fuzes again, all OK. Noticed that of the 3 I could find there was F1, F2 and F5. Hmmm, wheres F3 and F4? They're thermal fuses on certain components, but those were fine too. Started looking at other components, noticed a row of resisters looked like it had something on it, blew on them and it was water! Can't believe it still wasn't dry! Got some bendy straws and a hair dryer (honest hon, I'll bring it back! It's for a good cause!) and dried it out completely. Reassembled it, check voltages again and still not much - maybe it's like a computer power supply and needs a voltage on a certain line to start? Anyway, I reinstalled it in the machine, plugged it in, crossed fingers, flipped the switch...

    nothing...

    WE HAVE LIFE!

Everything came up, cycled like it should, showed a hopper error - hadn't reinstalled it yet, it would've been in the way. Installed it, hit the reset, all is good!

Only had a couple tokens to put in by hand (one in front, one inside the door to catch it). Played a little, all works great!!!

    Now on to Harley!

Not my good lady, not anymore

It was a spare one anyway. Got a heat gun, but I think I would've set something on fire with that!

I just had a brief flash of Tim Allen doing his number on those Pachis. I'd bet that he'd use one of these to dry out the toys.
