I have never run in to any tax issues on items sent in to the US. I think it depends on how something was declared when it was shipped. I will definitely find out when it arrives I guess.

I understand but consider if your parcel is lost you will get the same value back what is written on the invoice here in the Netherlands we can import TAX free if the value does not exceed 25 euro`s

[quote=MrGoodBurn;273185]Well, not completely sure yet... The machine cost is between $300.00 and $400.00 depending on what Kiai can talk the store in to taking for it. The shipping is about $450.00 I have paid Kiai for the cost of the machine, and will pay the shipping once the machine is ready to go. You could easily buy a years worth of Raman soup with the money I'm investing.

That is for a bare machine; no transformer, volume controls, stand, key, CR ROM, or cleaning. So you can figure once I get the machine, it will cost me about another $75.00 to get everything I need to make it work.

Hey Mr. G. you say that the chip (CR ROM) that makes it work is not with it ? Hummm

I was told bare machine, The lack of a CR ROM is my assumption. I may be wrong; it may be included. I can make one for under 5 bucks so it's not a big deal...

I think you're confusing the ROM with the DONGLE. If the ROM is missing, you're screwed

It's the dongle... Hiro refers to it as the CR ROM, but it's the dongle.

Gokuu should be here tomorrow. I've taken off work half day to wait for it. I'll be taking many pictures as I set it up.

I am WAAAAAAY so jealous of you getting Gokuu before me but $1700 + is a little out of my single machine price range .

i'd rather just put $1700 towards a plane ticket to japan lol
This game induces a kind of hypnosis, a strange feeling of happiness. Winning is hardly important. But, time passes. You lose touch with yourself for a while, and merge with a machine and perhaps you forget, what you always wanted to forget.....

    Where'd $1700 come from?

I was under the impression that he said Kiai was sourcing the machine for $300-$400 and shipping was going to run $450.

Unless I -really- screwed up in math class. That's about $850 tops, right?

Correct... $811.00 US is about what I paid for the machine and shipping. I expect to pay another $75.00 for additional items such as the transformer, dongle, key, and legs. Also, this does not include the cost of labor for cleaning the machine, and installing the accessories. I expect to have a total of about $1000.00 in the machine, shipping, parts, and labor when I'm done with it.

Mmm... As a favor, could you keep track of what you purchased and from where? (Any instructions would also be very helpful.)

I'm going to be performing the same actions in about two weeks with Dawn of the Fantasy and I'm sure others here would appreciate the reference. ^^

the most I've paid for a machine was Cutie Honey and that was about $225.00 shipped.

and my budget could barely spare that much

Where'd you get Cutie Honey for $225 shipped? It's $240 unshipped through Hiro.

I'd definitely pay $200 for a shipped Cutie Honey. ^^

1.5 - 2 years ago (when I got started)... most Pachinkos were MUCH MUCH cheaper.

The prices from the vendors look outrageous to me now

The more popular they become; the more expensive they will be.

Not cool, but hey; In another year they'll be cheaper than a tank of gas!
