Vintage Sankyo "SPARKMAN" Pachinko Machine

I just found this on eBay; I think thay may want a little too much, but it's cool.

I guess you might say I paid too much for this machine, but I was really paying for the memory of this machine.

Fifteen years ago there was a place in Dearborn Michigan that had a Sparkman Pachinko in the huge back room and the guy would not sell it to me. he kept telling me it was in for repair but it was there for over a year collecting dust. The place closed and I never saw it again.

I tried to find one to no avail. I was told by an importer he had only seen one, and that was on his wall next to the Injunction letter stopping all import of that machine due to copyright infringement. Warner Brothers thought there was some similarities.

Had been looking ever since and found two this year, seemed to be a sign.

This thing must have been in a house fire as there was a black soot-like film on the top surface of everything, of course seller neglected to mention that. but now it's awesome.

I once shook hands with Cher in Calf. back in the late 70s at the a restraunt, Pinks'.
That memory has kept me warm many a night.

once in the 50's when he came to the local butchers shop where i worked and about 20 years later at the county fair.
