Default Token and Pachinko Ball Sizes.

I figured that a Token size chart would help the members so this is my Chart.

Sizes are in both American Standard and MM

    D=Diameter, Th= Thickness

    [ D ] [ D ] [Th] [TH]

    [AS] [MM] [AS] [MM]

    1 (9.945) (24.26) (0.0690) (1.66)

    2 (9.865) (25.07) (0.0605) (1.54)

    3 (1.0005) (25.42) (0.0605) (1.54)

    4 (9.990) (25.37) (0.6200) (1.58)

    5 (1.0440) (26.52) (0.0790) (2.02)

    6 (1.0620) (26.98) (0.0805) (2.04)

    7 (1.0725) (27.24) (0.0765) (1.94)

    8 (1.1935) (30.32) (0.0705) (1.75)

    9 (1.4720) (37.39) (0.0945) (2.40)

    10 (0.4320) (10.98)

I used a very accurate digital Caliper for the measurements.

All measurements were taken 4 times each.

Discrepancies from mint sizes can be due to wear.

    Reading Left to Right.

    1 US Quarter

    2 Standard Pachislo Token

3 Mars Arepachi / Junkyu Token

4 Tokens Direct replacement for above.

    5 Susan B Anthony Dollar

    6 Jinn Arepachi Token

7 Tokens Direct replacement for above

    8 30 pai Token

    9 $1 $5 $10 $25 $50 $100 $1000 Denomination American Slot Token

    10 Pachinko Ball

As you can see some sizes are very close but DO NOT WORK in the same machines.

Composition and weight also play a role.

    Thanks Eddie!

i have some unusual tokens in my machines. I found it a little fun to buy tokens (not specifically pachislo) by bulk and use the ones of the correct size. As a result, I have car wash tokens, several antique arcade tokens, service station restroom tokens and some "peep" show tokens circulating in my machines (you can bet I washed them before they went in ).

One of the tokens I have in the machines is actually an Italian coin. I do not know the denomination and I have not seen it for a while as it is mixed in with many thousands of others. Maybe someone else will be familiar with it?

It would be interesting to know what actual coins are sized the same as a standard token is, and what the value of those coins are.

BTW, is Italy using the Euro now?

    1 (9.945) (24.26) (0.0690) (1.66)

    2 (9.865) (25.07) (0.0605) (1.54)

    4 (9.990) (25.37) (0.6200) (1.58)

Looking at the mm sizes, shouldnt these three read 0.9450, 0.9865 and 0.9990 respectively? Otherwise your tokes would be nearly 10 inches wide!

The first measurement is given as AS (american standard) i.e. inches. According to the original measurements, 1,2 and 4 measure upwards of 9.9 inches. It reads (diameter value inches) (diameter value mm) (thickness inches) (thickness mm). Now the tokens are just under an inch wide, the mm value is about right 24mm or thereabouts 0.99 inches would also be about right, 9.9 inches would not

Also if you look at value 3, (1.0005) (25.42) is 1.005 inches or 25.42 mm, value 4 is (9.990) (25.37) meaning 25.37mm is the same as 9.990 inches. Just wanted to make sure this very useful post is right.

most of us know what Eddie was posting in his chart,

even though a decimal point was off on a few of them.

If there were some errors made and corrected then good job.

Its the info thats important not the messenger.

I obtained the measurements by first using the MM scale then I depressed the in" scale and posted the figures as they were displayed on the Calipers window.

At least the Metrics numbers should be accurate!

I assumed that the in" Scale numbers were correct as well.
