Default Ball Jam - Error "7"

I finally got to the nifty "FEVER" round on my Indiana Jones Machine when I noticed there was no sign of a reward payout. No mater how many balls I got into the top skull and side flame/wings nothing came out. I had a full top hopper so I knew the amount of payout balls wasn't the problem. I eventually opened him up (Indy is in a cabinet) and saw that the error light read "7" (out of balls).

This has to be a ball jam issue right?

This is the second Indy I've had to buy (first one had a damage MCB) and the first time I've reached a "FEVER" round on the new machine.

If it's just a simple jam then can anyone tell me what to look for and how to clear it?

    -Jayson

Have you down loaded the manual in the R C ?
And checked to see if the ball stop is down ?

Look around the back to see where the balls stop. As previously mentioned, be sure the ball stop isn't blocking the balls. I had a machine that had an oversized bearing (not a pachinko ball) jammed in the payout section, and I had to disassemble it to remove it, and now the machine is fine.

    Jam1.jpg
The jam goes all the way to the back track of the hopper.

    Jam2.jpg
I can turn the ball release in back and all balls in "Ball Track 2" clear out fine though "Ball Track 2" stays. Notice that the Manual Ball Stop is open.

    Jam3.jpg
I followed the Indy Guide instruction on "How to clear a Jam" though it doesn't seem to be working. Here's a clear image of the "Jam". I can't clear it by pocking it and the error message still reads "7" when I restart.

Any quick fixes or do I have to start taking this bad boy apart? Is there any guides that might help?

You get to tear it down to clear the Jam, but first turn upside down and rock it from corner to corner the long way, see if that clears it first.

If not tack alot of pictures to help you put it back together.

Later today I'll try to sway it upside down. If nothing budges then I guess I'll operate.

This is so frustrating. I'm new to pachinkos and all I get are bum machines

See screw, remove screw These aren't consumer machines, and will require service from time to time - it's a normal part of owning any industrial machine, whether it be pachinko, slot, arcade, pinball, etc.

It's most likely not a bum machine. I'm curious to hear what you find...

Sure - we're here to help. Not so sure about your open discussion of illegal activity - ie slots in California. Please keep that in mind.

you'll see the green plastic cover encasing the payout motor, press up on the bottom of it to release the latch and swing it upwards, unplug the cable to the motor and slide it to the right( some force needed) lift the motor out! ball everywhere.

As birdbrain said the payout motor is easily removed, as is the payout tank empty switch which is closer to the source of your obstruction.

If you haven't taken a look at the Lumina Frame manual yet, then now would be a good time as the procedure for removing these parts is shown in the manual (Page 20 & 21). You should be able to find this manual in the research center on this site, or it can be downloaded from the technical info page on my website.

DaveRob your a prince amongst men!

It was the "Payout Tank Empty Switch" that was jammed.

I just printed out your manual and followed the easy instructions on pages 20 & 21. It was like pulling teeth for a while but once I got it out I heard that rewarding "Clang" of balls emptying out. There was some sort of white dusty/film inside the switch, maybe a piece of pulverized styrofoam, who knows. I put everything back and now the error light reads "-".

Now I get to spend all day trying to get to a FEVER round

Really, thank you to everyone that posted your help. This Newbe couldn't have done it without you.
