    Default Error E6

I'm still new at these things but I'm learning as fast as I can. So part of this is probably a newbie question.

My Speed Racer is displaying "E6" on the front when I turned it on today. It's been off for about a month. I guess it felt neglected or it doesn't like the Death Valley that I got this weekend.

I've turned the machine on and off a couple of times and this is not going away.

    So my questions are:
    1) What does "E6" mean?
    2) How do you do a machine restart? (That's the newbie part.)

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

E6 is a "Prize Error" You will need to press the reset button on the inside of the front door. It is usually located on the circuit board just under the clear part of the front reel window.

Here is a link to an instruction manual that should help you out.

OK...it happened again and now I can't get the machine to reset.

Then I turned the machine off for a couple of days and the following picture showed up on front and now the machine won't do anything.

I held down the reset button (see picture 2, only button I could find on front. Is this the wrong button?) and nothing happens.

    Help!!!

That is the skill level button.
The reset key will be on the power supply.
Can you take a pic of the power supply?
That PDF file is wrong, that button is not the reset

Did you try turning the door key to the left?

Have you tried the reset key inside on the box next to the hopper?

A few things to check. Make sure there are no stuck tokens in the coin mechanism. Also, check the hopper for stuck tokens. If you have a stuck token in the coin mechanism it will not reset, or stay reset.

That's what I thought, but after I pushed this one the first time I had problems it seemed to work fine until now.

This is the only other button I could find and it's doing nothing either.

I'm sure I'm missing something but I can't figure it out.

And to answer some of the questions...

Yes I tried the key to the left...filled and emptied the coin hopper and had tokens shooting all over the floor.

(But it was cool...they were flying!)

It's been on this screen for 2 days and won't go away. Sure wish I knew what it said.

And THANKS to everyone trying to help. Much appreciated!

    Ok
Turn the power off then turn the key on the power supply to the right.
Turn the power back on, set the skill level with the button on the inside of the door, if you want to change it.
Press the reel spin knob down for a couple of seconds, then turn the key back to the left.
    That is a full reset.

with the machine turned on, turn the key on the power supply to the right, press the blue button on the door until the desired odds are picked, press down joystick lever a few times, then turn key off while the machine is still on.

The button you pressed on the door is also used to set payout levels, but it does act as a reset button for some things as well. Typically minor hopper and coin mechanism related issues. I have had some machines that were stubborn, and I had to play with a combination of the reset button and key.
