Azlew, if it's in basic avi or mpg format try using the divx codec in their free download at divx.com in your video program. It should compress it down to a much smaller size.

Ok it can't be hosted here because of bandwidth. I have it down to 21 megs with DIVX and zipped(less quality). I will work on it more this afternoon...any other suggestions on how to get to less than 10 megs ? Or is there anyone out there that would like to host this 3 minute clip ?

Lew... what is the screen size that you have it in?
I think full digital video is like 720x480 .
Reducing the dimension saves a considerable amount of space... but too much reduction loses details. If it's still large, maybe that would help.
    Maybe like 320x240...
180x120 might be too small if it's detailed.
I know it takes a while (and a lot of processor power) to convert... good luck.

I have a love / hate relationship with TIVO. I love the product but hate monthlys. So I'm a lifetime subscriber. However it's the lifetime of the machine, not yours and it's not transferable to even another machine. So when my first one died and it was going to cost more to repair it than to get another one, I just got another one. So now I have a box with a lifetime subscription that while it will record video just fine, it won't record sound and the modem is blown.

I have HDTV and was thinking about getting their new HD model that has 3 tuners and will record 30 hours of HD or 260 hours of standard tv. But then I'd have to get another subscription...

I love the box but I hate the way they do business.

Ahh... well now no compresser is taking it down in size(thanks for trying David) so tonight I will try redoing the screen size to see if a suitable smaller size will be viewable. For me to email it will still have to be below 10 megs.

I can't use Dish Network. They don't have the NFL Sunday Ticket. However could I live without watching my beloved Cleveland Browns (stink up the joint) every Sunday? 8-)

OK for some reason the smallest I can this video is 21 megs. SO no go on the emailing of it. If noone can host we will wait til someone else can grab it and do a better compression. It is worth seeing just for the back alley sequence alone :!:

OK I wasted 2 DVD-R's and 1 DVD RAM disk on this project. I have erased the RAM disk already but I have these two(2) DVD-R DVD's left over. If you are interested in having one sent to you = PM me and I will mail it to you :!: Keep in mind they only have the 3 minute sequence from the show about modern day pachinkos in Tokyo. I can't guarantee the dvd-r compatibility for your computer or dvd player. First 2 people that PM me each get one shipped via first class mail for FREE :!: :!: :!:
