    Default Tokyo Revealed

I was watching the travel channel tonight and a show called "Tokyo Revealed" was on. I figured they would mention Pachinko so I watched it for a while. Anyway, about 40 minutes into the show, they did a segment about Pachinko. It showed a bunch of the modern Pachinkos. I have never been there so it was pretty cool to see what those places are like in video rather than in the still pics I have seen around. They showed a guy cash in close to 2000 balls and then take the tokens he got from the Pachinko parlor around back to a place that in what looked like an ATM machine. Well, there was a human on the other side of it rather than a machine, who took the tokens and gave the man his cash.
So, if you have the travel channel be sure to check it out. I am sure they repeat the shows.

Darn, just missed it. Did a search on the DVR and it isn't coming up again, at least during the next 10 days. I'll keep a search going though, am sure it will show again soon!

    Thanks!

    Very very interesting show.

The Pachinko part is right at 3 minutes long and is a blast to watch. I have watched that part 5 times now and seeing all those new Pachinkos just makes me smile :-) :!:

I know one thing for sure....I would like one of those ball counters that guy used to get his barcode receipt with. Those gold tokens must be worth a little huh  hehehe.... :!:

Thanks again Paul for pointing it out for us :!:

    Greg,
Did you happen to catch the tattoo part about 10 minutes before the Pachinko segment? You should head over to Tokyo and show that guy how it's really done

I'd like to get some of those for when my in-laws come to visit.
"I've prepared a nice place for you to sleep this week"

That would have them in a hotel the next day.
