Default Sammy King of Animals - opinions?

    I already bought/received from Steath/Milt.

I am happy with it ...it's going to be a Christmas gift for my slot-machine addicted mother.

Now, I am reading about standard, premium machines.

What differentiates one machine from another?

    And how does mine rate?

I've not played this model but I'll try and get it posted for you in the pachislo museum here in a few minutes. It will provide a translated link to the pachinkomuseum.com website. It's a Japanese site and the translations are okay but not what you would consider real English.

It's posted there for your reading pleasure. It's called in the translated page as a Gold Animal King.

is that the one with the led screen? IF so its a good machine, there are three levels of king of animals. ONe has just reels, one has an lcd, and the other has a 5-6 inch video screen!

So far there are three slot machines in the Animal King series:
Juuou/Animal King (Sammy, 2001) has a LED dot matrix display and comes in two versions, silver or gold.
Mou Juuou/Fierce Animal King (Sammy, 2002) has a LCD video display.
Savanna Park (Sammy, 2003) has a LED dot matrix display.

The first two have names in Japanese. I haven't seen any rules for Romanizing Japanese (changing it to English letters). Most people will drop a lot of the vowels because they don't look good to people who are use to English, so they will usually be spelled like "Juo" & "Mojuo", but you will see them Romanized a lot of different ways.

Some people will also translate the names differently or just make something up. Some dealers call both of the ones with Japanese names "King of the Animals". A lot of then will claim that they are Disney's The Lion King.

The "King of Animals" Stealth has on ebay now is a Juuou/Animal King (Sammy, 2001).

Sammy's are nice machines, if you got kids they will like it alot, to them call it "Lion KIng". and they will want to play it all the time.

Sammys are good machines, only problem they ever have is the squeal on the ones with the video screens. Which can be taken care of with voume controls!

Hi. I just ordered the Mou Juuou model from Bigbear's "Ugly Bunch" section. Even though he reviewed that model pretty throughly he really didn't mention much about the sound (how many speakers, what theme music it plays, etc.) and I was wondering if anyone here could shed some light on it.

(Note: Given all the helpful input here, especially about the Sammy LCD models having a "squeal" problem I decided to order the unit with the $20 volume control option, although I'm not sure if there will be two controls or one, since I don't know how many speakers it has.)

I just got Hanabi Hyakkei from Bigbear with the "Bear installed" volume control and I think it's the best way to go. It's external (in the coin tray) but not in the way of the coins. It's so much easier to use. I don't know how many that particular machine uses though.

Typical Sammy's with vid's have three speakers. Two on either side of the vid and one bass in the bottom.

Thanks, Tulsa. In that case, I'm sure Bigbear's will supply two controls, one for each. Now all I need to know is how the audio for this machine integrates with the sequences, etc. But I guess I'll know first hand either next Friday or the following Monday, depending on how quickly it gets here from Texas.
