I just received my Giga Fever. Maybe I'll just stick it under the tree, and worry about a permanent home next week.

THATS EXACTLY WHAT I WOULD DO :!:

    CONGRATULATIONS :!: :!:

New Toy, O Boy! set it up in the bathroom, than you will have peace and quiet to play and play.

You got two bathrooms in your house, Right ?

If not tell them to go out back to the little house

Giga Fever is a great machine. So far I've hit 2 regular bonus rounds and 1 Big bonus. No Giga Bonus yet.

For the first time ever, during a Big Bonus I went bankrupt (didn't complete all 3 jac games before I ran out of the 30 bonus games). I tried to get too clever. It indicated that it was going to take me into a jac game and I played right to left and hit the left reel just right to avoid the jac game - thinking that I would be able to play more of the bonus games. Problem is I only got to play 2 of the jac games and then couldn't get back into the 3rd jac before I ran out of bonus games.

The 4th reel with stop button add some interesting play. Sometimes it works like a usual 4th reel, giving you hints about what's going to happen - with no control over it with the stop button. Other times you get to try to stop it on 3 7s to set up the bonus round. And when you get 3 7s on the regular reel for the bonus, you get to try for a 4th 7 to get into the Giga Bonus. Sometimes the 4th reel moves fast, sometimes very slow, sometimes erratic. Ever once in a while it does something you've never seen it do before. Fun machine.

The machine arrived in great shape. I continue to think Syscom has some of the best packing (their retail packing, not wholesale). The machine was clean and came with some of the cleanest used tokens I've ever received - just as clean as new ones.

Only problem was that they installed volume controls (just like they always do). This is usually a big plus, but this machine didn't really need them. They had the volume switch on the loudest position then used the volume controls to lower it. This degrades the sound a little. First thing I did was turn the controls full on to get them out of the circuit and then set the volume switch on low. The volume was perfect.

I'll have to get with you on that 4th reel. It's confusing me!!!

Only played 1000 coins so far because of the pics below. I agree, the packaging was the best I have seen, but mine still came damaged with no visible damage to the boxes.

I think they are going to mail me the parts, but there was a little communication barrier.

One of the cleanest machine I have bought too! Didn't even smell of smoke and very little dust.

Ash Tray came shattered. It's only the inside part too. :?:

Reel came loose as well as the inner reel lights causing a serious puncture to the reel graphics.

American Syscom doesn't have anymore GigaFever's and will not be getting anymore GigaFever's in the next shipment. :smt022

They offered $30 to keep it, but that wasn't enough for me, so they are call tagging it back for a full refund.

    Bummer. :-(

Make sure you get plenty of playing time on it between now and the pick up.

$30 is a joke with that kind of damage. If anything they should have offered to refund the shipping. My New Pulsar wasn't that bad and I got my shipping refunded from Slotusa.

David R. that is too bad. I think this is the first time we have seen a problem from them and that is quite a statement with all the sales they probably have had with members here.

I think they may have hurt their reputation just a little bit by wanting to pick it up instead of offering at least shipping charges refunded and more. It is doubtful that they can recoup anything from the shipper on this as that left reel obviously either got damaged by them not properly packing or it was that way when they sent it out. All in all they don't look good on this sale.

That's the way it was sent out. There was no damage to the package. Also to David's point, it was the inside of the ashtray that was shatted, not the outside. Had this not been sent out this way and it happend in shipping, the outside of the ashtray would have been damaged. On the reels, even if they had come loose during shipping, there would have been nothing to exert that kind of pressure inside the slot to make puncture marks like that with the box in pristine condition.

Is this the place that has the different color stickers for who inspected it etc or was that someone else?

All good points, my thoughts excatly about not offering more of a discount....

Shipping back will cost more than $30. I was hoping like $75 or $100. Maybe that is too much, but I guess they will use it for salvage.

Very disappointed. They did offer to replace it with another $189 machine of my choice, but nothing grabbed me like the Giga Fever.

Great light show though! Even has the multi-colored Cold Cathoded lights over the reels like Terminator.

yep has the cold cathode, forgot to tell you all that, just like all IGT machines! The 4th reel does anything it wants, sometimes it spins on its own, other times it spins and lets you stop it. Ive seen it spin both backward and forward. Never did hit the BB or GB before i sold it. I shoudl be getting a few more in after the new year!

Giga Fever went back home....

Fedex came by and picked it up. I didn't get to play it much because they said Fedex was going to come yesterday, so I had it boxed up.

For the couple of hours I did get to play it I like it!

    The search continues...

We need to have a "What Slot Should David Get" contest. 8-)

Once again he finds himself without a pachislo.. You have to remember that David is more sensible than most of us. He doesn't buy them just to try them out. Which is why I have a K1 and Hot Area and, ah never mind.

Anyway, I'll start it off by suggesting that he pick up a Spin Luck. If you're only going to have one pachislo, this is the one to have. Ted Kimura has one for $399 which isn't bad in this day and age..

    Anyone else?

    Yep, I know, I know....

I usually buy one at a time, play it and then modify it or sell it.

And of course the batman pachinko was too much work to let go at the moment. Well unless someone wants to trade for a spin luck.

DGI is going to put more Giga Fever's up soon and I will possibly be waiting. I liked it. :-)
