    Update;

    To Eddie : The coin contraption is rerouted over the replay button, so to make coins obsolete. Of course this means that the replay button isn't attached just now. I plan to restore coin operation, i got a few old guilders that can be used in the machine.

    The machine does go into some kind of TILT state. For one, the Tilt light burns as soon as the machine is powered up and although the machine gives one load of balls when pushing the replay (=coin) button, it then "hangs" in an indefinite state.

    I have taken a good look at the PCB but don't see any major flaws (too bad). As you can see in the Pic I am bizzy trying to figure out what the PCB exactly does.

    Does the machine have a tilt mech of any kind?

    If so did you try to disconnect it ?

    Are the dispensed balls moving freely to where they have to go?

    On my machine I encountered a problem in which the balls
    once sent on there way to the play tray would hang up just enough to not trigger a microswitch causing a tilt state (without the machine being in tilt). It turned out that the machine settled on my carpet and went out of Level causing the balls not to flow properly along their path.

    Thank you for the photo's this really an evolution edge machine. On older vintage all payout is handled by a trip ball on a balanced fulcrum, (think teeter totter with a small weigh just holding one end down) the ball rolling onto the end of the levr tripd the payout hopper.
    BTW how cool that has a variable payout, thats a first for me!
    OK I belive your computer control is prob not absolutly needed for home use, cool if it works OK if it don't. there is a switch that is activated when a ball exits the playfield through a win pocket. this roll down and presses the trip, the balls tip the won ball fall a well. trip resets, refills with balls from hopper. repeat. The row of transistors on the end of the board are the only things doing heavy work, they trip replays. so thats the first thing a guy with a soldring iron would check.
    A simple way to 'rig this might be to wire + power through a NO switch in the 'win' trough in series to the solenoid .
    T into the wire at the solenoid with the coin swithc or free play switch.
    I am not right there so I am making a few assumptions here. try this only if it makes sense to you and your comfortable.

    To Eddie : I disabled both tilt switches (one is a pendulum in a circle of metal in the casing, i don't have a pic of that yet) and the other is a simple switch on the cell (if you like) . The tilt light just burns all the time.

    I have part of the schematics, but not all yet. It never stops surprising me how many stuff they cram into a few Integrated circuits, so it's a little more work than I hoped for.

    To mike : Actually, without electronics its not really fun, although my daughter of 2,5 thinks its the best invention ever. Now there is only ONE ball payout, seen that a ball in a pocket rolls back to the front and not into the ball tray '.
    Actually looking ar the emerging schematics, it seems like a payout may consist of more than once tripping the payout solenoid. But that is speculation. I hope to wizen up on that part soon.

    Not much i'm afraid. I took out the PCB for closer inspection and re-engineered the diagram, which actually doesn't make too much sense to me

    Work is catching up on me. I barely find the time to read some of the posts on here (wish i could keep up and read them all). I try to say hello and goodbye on the shoutbox, chat a little with the crowd that seems to be always there, which is very nice actually, I mostly do that while doing my administration, invoices, mail, the works. I try to reply some posts (and keep forgetting to thank people when they say nice things.)

    I also need to find the time to spend some time with the family, as of late they aren't getting the attention they deserve. I haven't seen my two lil ones today, cause they went to bed before i got home. There isn't enough time in a day !!!

    Now it's 24:00 over here and everyone is gone to sleep. Finally some time to relax, but too late to do anything serious, maybe read up a bit, have a laugh and do a few posts on pachi.
    I got a meeting tomorrow at 10am and I still haven't got all the paperwork done yet and I need to read up on some stuff before i am ready for that meeting, ah well, tomorrow morning then.

    As result of all this;

    1) I got a half dissembled vintage computer pachinko in the lounge;
    2) I got a filthy dirty Vintage okumura waiting for a bath and some patching up.
    3) I got a Star Wars Pachinko waiting for someone to turn it on and spill some balls and it needs a case too, it's in a corner on the floor !!!
    4) I got a faulty Hanabi which is screaming for attention, cuz it won't fever properly, just haven't got the time to get it into a fever like Daverob suggested in another posting...
    5) I got two battle counters still in bubble plastic beside my desk, they won't see much battles anytime soon i'm afraid !
    6) I got a marvelous Pica cleaner, which i haven't even been able to turn on. I took a quick peek at it and then back into the box it had to go.

    *sigh* , that was a good rant, thanks for giving me the opportunity I bet I'm not the only person wishing there was more time to enjoy the nice things in life than having to work his ass off.

    I promise to give the computer pachinko the priority , hope to find the time to do a serious update on this thread soon.
