Default Need advice on new pachinko

Looking to buy a new pachinko. Only have one now and it is the old 70's style. I want to get something more modern that I and my 2 boys will enjoy...and before someone says it, I know it is all about personal preference. I am fairly new to this whole thing and want your advice...

    Thanks in advance.

There are several sources for pachinkos: here, in the auction site , our dealer links and eBay sellers. Buying direct from Japan is very expensive and only works if you have a contact in country.

You may want to consider a newer Sankyo game which has interchangeable cells. This way, you can simply change out the game cell and put in another game without having to buy another complete game.

I suggest you research the games in the museum and come up with a list of what looks interesting. When you have a list then members who have played the games can offer input on what they know about it.

The key still remains to be what is currently available in the marketplace, how soon you want to buy and how much you are willing to spend.

Thunderzone is an interesting game. It sports three red LED numbers inside a Huge hinged multicolored LED that drops into play when particular numbers a hit. If the "big one" is triggered, the chains covering two LEDs begin to shake and the game goes into a frenzy.

This game is often considered the height of LED technology for pachinko games and rightly deserves a place of honor in the tech innovation hall of heroes.

With appropriately adjusted pins, balls enter gates frequently and the LEDs are constantly cycling while loud theme music increases in pace if a fever begins to loom. LEDs change color as the chance of a winning combination increases.

The light show on this game is fantastic. I personally prefer the silver and chrome trim on the case. It also can be found in a red and yellow case.

There are no LCDs or video screens on this game. That feature is a staple of the next generation of pachinkos. Thunderzone is a glitzy classic that will stand well among newer games but it does not have the animation that video provides to excite the youngest generation of pachinko players.
