Default Back-to-Back Pachinko Cabinet Ideas Wanted

My next project is to come up with a cabinet which would accommodate two pachinko games back-to-back.

I want it to have a common ball collection basket for players' balls won by the game.

It should have a shared feed hopper which can be adjusted to feed one or both games.

I think one ball lift unit could be modified to feed both games.

I am seeking everyone's thoughts on this project. What would you like to see? How would you build it? Has someone out there already done this?

I have done some flow figures and the ball lifter will feed three machines no problem. that is what i am working on, three in a row.

    What a great idea :!:

arby is one lifter able to feed that fast ? I suppose it would be highly unlikely all three machines would go into Fever or bonus mode at the same time so just a regular feed for two and... hmmm interesting project :!:

    Arby,

I do not have a ball lift unit on which to experiment, but it appears that a common hopper would be where the lift sensor would have to reside. I believe you said somewhere that it was pressure (or weight) sensitive.

Is the microswitch on a cable so it can be located inside the hopper?
Can you provide a photo of the switch?

Can the lift tube be extended? If yes, how much height can be added without creating a resistance on the motor which is feeding the balls into the tube? Is the tube metal or plastic?

    Thanks!

Feed into a common well, on the end and track down from there to each machine. The switch is only ligth swring foot for the ball to weight on to stop feed. the ball lifter is very FAST.

You might be able to rig up other switch mechs... one for each machine, then wire them in parallel. That way, each would "call" for a feed when it needed it. One common resevoir for a set of machines? You've seen something like that before, right?

I may have to get me one of those lifts! 8-)

    Dear logicprobe,

It would seem one sensor would work in the top hopper which would feed all attached games. It should be placed at a point inside the hopper which would become the minimum ball level. This point should not be so low in the hopper as to empty the hopper if a game was paying out in the fever mode before the lift unit could refill balls from the collection basket.

If the main hopper and feed ramps are functioning properly, the ball level will drop regardless of which games are using balls from the hopper. Thus, it should not be necessary to do parallel switches.

    You're right, Dennis.
One switch in the top hopper should do the trick. I didn't catch that point in your post above... another reason for me not to post at the wee hours of the morning.

Now the question remains... will the lift motor have enough torque to drive the balls up that far without straining it?

It shoot them out the top of the tube about 3 feet.

Hmmm, knowing that, I might need to include a clear plastic dome (a large plastic salad mixing bowl from Walmart would work) and we will set this hopper up to look like a popcorn popper hopper.

Just imagine watching all those balls flying around inside the dome!!

I'm just wondering what it would sound like?
