Default Star Wars Pachinko - Voltage Question

I have a Star Wars machine here in New Zealand. It has come direct from Japan. On the power cable is a tag that reads 24v (see attached photo) and some Japanese characters. I am assuming it is AC but also on the rear of the machine are some stickers that talk of 24v DC (also see stickers). These stickers are locate at the top right of the machine (see photos).
Could you advise if the input I need to feed down this power cable is 24v Ac.

The machine does need 24v AC from a transformer rated at 6A or higher.

The other terminals in your photos are relay contact outputs for connecting to battle counters and the parlours computer system for gathering statistics about the game.

anyone know what would happen if a higher transformer was installed?

My machine died months ago, got around to putting a new transformer several weeks ago as I suspected it was the culprit...PRESTO! It was alive again but under power failure restoration for several minutes then POOF done again lol... I got the time to try and put a new transfomer on, we have a bunch here at work but I can't find any in the 5 or 6 amp range? Also does anybody know if polarity is an issue cause I suspected that I may have ahd the polarity reversed when I did the replacement it was hard to tell what the load side of the 2 wires? thanks

you may have hooked up a 24dc unit which is NOT what you need. you need a 24Vac transformer. these work off of ac voltage.

I was ready to throw in the pachitowel last night Long short my SW has been dead for awhile, determined to overcome I am not giving up. The one day everything was working fine then poof done no power at all it seemed. The transformer that came w/ it said 120 48 VAC 24v, at the time I had a 40 VAC transformer at work and installed that to which I got it back up but was under power failure restoration for several minutes than pop same thing. So yesterday I found a 50 VAC transformer taking the suggestion that I need a 6 amp trans from this thread. Installed power on, no response on screen or from R2 but lights were on. I was assuming to see the power restoration message. So I powered off and held the rest button in and powered on, seen R2 moving but I got nothing but a very thin white line flashing intermittently cross the screen. So figuring it was cold which it was I played the waiting game. Tried the shooter and the balls were firing and the alarm was sounding just like the first day I plugged it in. Walked away and came back to beautiful HD playscreen in Demo and boy did that give a smile. Called my son to down and look and got the exact same smile back. It did smell "hot" though if you know what I mean, I downplayed that to maybe dust settling on the unit in the cabinet I bulit from inactivity. So anyway we place the unit back in th cabinet power it on to the same power strip which is also running a 4' halogen shop light and 4' flouresent shop light and no more than a minute and pop dead in the water again. So rather than make a new thread I am hoping to piggyback off this one and try to find a resolution. Is it a fuse? Should I try a different transformer? I am a gas man not an electrian I was assuming 50 vac was volt amperage divide by 10 that 5 amps? Am I making sense to anyone? Help please thanks for reading!

as I stated before, get the heavy duty transformer from Gaku for $24.95.

ask members here who have bought one from me, they are really beefy.

if that doesn't work, you have other problems.

that transformer you installed was 0.5 amps. take LD's advise. the unit you put in there will weight 3-5 pounds. you are using an xformer that is used for switching gas valves aren't you? little tiny piece of sh!!!
