I'm not sure I've seen this one or any of the "older" version on YJ recently, but I certainly could've missed them.

The older version has come up on YJA a couple of times, one up about a week ago, didn't sell at 28,800Y ($269.16), wish there was a way to bring it here.

It will be a while before we see much of anything from about 10/07 on because the parlors had to change everything over to machines that conform to the new laws. The payouts are lower in the new machines so they kept the old ones till the last minute, meaning a huge cash outlay all at once instead of say 1/3 of the units a year over 3 years. There's a ton of last seasons machines on YJA, a lot of big screen units that sold for $$$$ not long ago.

Ichi and I were rummaging through all the stuff on YJA, it's unbelievable how much stuff is on there. Too bad its waaay too expensive to get it over here.

Sometimes that's what you need to do to get the best stuff. It makes you cry to see some of the best (in our opinion) machines going for $20-30, that and a pachislo shipped anywhere in the country (except for Hokkaido) for $20!

I started "collecting" approx Xmas of 06.
At that time there was a plethora of machines available,
But by the time summer of 07 had ended I was having a harder
time finding anything other than "custom machines"

Now it seems to be picking up a bit with machines
like LOTR, Playboy, Looney Toons, Marvel Heros... etc,
but most of these are hovering just a bit out of a comfortable price range.
I'm seeing alot of price tags around $400 USD & up,
when most of the machines in my arsenal topped out at $260 USD.[/COLOR]

Is this "stall" due to the aforementioned "new laws"
and if so, are we going to see a flood of new pachislo available before the holiday season?
If these two questions are answered "yes", it reasonable to beleive...

With the Parlors having an abundant stock to release all at once...
we would start to see the prices drop to what they were in 06/07?

most machines now are being stripped of parts and-or sold to China as scrap.

the cost of bringing in containers full and storing them all when they get here plus labor involved has gone up too.

I don't think we will ever get back to the old days of many machines and low prices.

Yepper a couple of vendors i talk to back in Aug last year told me that the prices for the machines would go up in the next six months cause of customs , tarriff , exchange rate . $250+ is going to be the standard for a while .
