    Default Pachinko - Monster Village

As of Christmas day, I am the proud owner of a Monster Village. I couldn't find a manual in this site. If one exists, I'd like it!

It was purchased from a seller in Toronto, Canada (AC-Warehouse on Ebay) and came in "like new" condition. I have no complaints (other than paying $50 for pick-up fee!). So any Canadians who wish to avoid paying duty and brokerage fees, should check him out.

I look forward to building a cabinet. I'm also considering a back cover, that the same seller has: Imatrix Canada

As you can see, it's a molded plastic back especially made for Pachinko machines. Looks like a good option to keep dust out if I don't have a cabinet?

Oh, and I have a great idea for a ball feeder that I think would be much more elegant to Arby's (no offense  ). I'm going to prototype it in Lego first.

I think a Lego Ball feeder would be cool to see, please post some pics...as we love pics!

...but as far as elegent, you can't beat the real deal and that is what Arby provides. Authentic parlor apparatus...a must for any serious collector!

Yes, sorry, when I first saw the one Arby sells, it looked very large, and looked unwieldly with all this vinyl piping. Turns out that was just one set-up to make it feed multiple machines.

I saw a better video later that showed how it pushes them stacked through the main tube. Works well.

My idea was an archimedes screw. After searching more through this site I found that was already attempted. So my idea is bunk! I'm still going to try, just for the fun of it. I don't have the funds to buy a solution yet.

If I were to try to do a ball lifter, The one main thing I would focus on is speed. In order for the lifter to work properly, I would want it to replenish balls as fast I shoot them. If it doesn't it will never keep up.

The style we know of is plenty fast. 3-5 per second up to 1 or 2 per for shooting.

In the parlors, a belt pushes against a panel with vertical grooves in it (5+ wide) that the balls roll up. The belt also cleans the balls and is replaceable. I can't imagine how fast this system has to work to supply 40 to 50 machines in a double aisle.

One thing that's different in the parlors as apposed to what people design here is that the main ball supply is on the bottom end (floor) with only a single layer of balls in the troughs that supply the machines. Keeps weight down on the top end and simpler/cheaper support structures.

    I built a prototype with electro-magnets.

it is SUPER-Cool, but pretty damn slow... and Messy, and it really didn't work good.

I have purchased a few of Arby's Ball lifters though, and SPEED, POWER, and reliability are superb.

OH and BTW the title of this thread is really gross
