Default Victory Frame Ball dump lever

Since I have had my Kagetu I have experienced problems with the balls jamming up in the ball counter/Payout unit.

This is the machine that I mounted in my Ken524 cabinet and I have not wall mounted it as of yet due to this problem.

Seeing that I must get it off the floor and onto the wall(For space) I spent hours trying to figure out the problem and I think that I have.

The ball dump lever is free moving and with balls passing it they slide it up and open it!!! THe balls then jam up the payout mech.

I taped the lever in the closed position and voila the machine functions perfectly.

However looking at both the Victory Manual and other pics that members have posted of the machine from the rear , I noticed the the ball dump lever is supposed to have a SWITCH that has to be slid!!!

My machine is missing that switch, so the lever just gets moved by the balls flowing down to the payout mech.
How the machine ever worked is a miracle as the lever is just free to move.

I will take and post pics tomorrow of the lever that I am talking about.

I hate using tape so if anyone would have a spare sliding switch please let me know.

Also I am still looking for Leds that will work in the V of the case door! IF anyone has replaced the burned out Leds
What MODEL and type or name of LEDs did you use? thx

I just realised that I wrote this in the wrong forum sorry Tulsa its very late.

Here are the pics of the ball dump mech.

I removed the tape holding it in the down or closed position for the photos.

Is this assembly missing any parts or is it intact and the lever is just worn?

This is from a Victory frame!

If it is missing parts would anyone have them?

I think that your problem might be that you've got a 'Victory' frame, rather than the more common 'New Victory' frame (which happens to look identical), and is the one most people are thinking of when they refer to a victory frame. From the pictures it looks like there is a difference in the ball dump mechanism between the two styles.

The first 4 victory frame games were the old style (Lucky Bell, Large Yamato, Viking, and Kagetu), the 'New Victory' frame started with Magical Carpet and Fever The King, and went through to Neo Queen and Janken Battle.

The only thing I can suggest is to see if tightening the screw that the ball dump lever pivots on makes any difference. Otherwise I expect that it'll be back to the tape.

With regards to the LEDs, every time I've had a dead LED on a Victory Frame, I've ended up replacing all of the ones of that color, as it's almost impossible to get a good match when you just replace one of them.

The lever should go all the way down and snap in place, it looks like it isn't all the way down to me. If it won't lock in place by pushing down on the lever (plastic is a little 'bendy'), try inserting a small screwdriver above it and push down on it till it snaps in place. Empty all the balls first. It snaps down kinda hard, just don't break it.

I went back to check on what you told me but the lever goes all the way down to the stop without snapping in place. Maybe something had broken off in the past that should make it lock.

If it goes all the way down easily, then it does sound like something broke. If you don't use the dump much/at all, you could wedge something inside there to hold it down.

For now I am using clear packing tape to hold the lever down, but the Great Arby just sent me upgrade parts!!!

The upgrade parts arrived From ARBY (Thannk you SIR) today and I just had the chance to sit down to install them. I open the box place everything on the floor (The machine is on the floor) in the order that they would go. Sitting on the floor I lean over to turn off the machine and Boom Paco the evil chihuahua swoops in and grabs the all important new slide and begins to chew it untill it looks like a piece of gum!!! It was rendered useless in the blink of an eye.

    I wanted to deport him.

Anyway while comparing the old with the new housing I discovered that a piece on the old housing was on UPSIDE down??? You can see it in the last photo under the lever in the start of this thread.

I reversed it to match the one on the new piece then I tried Compirates suggestion of using a screwdriver to put even pressure across the ENTIRE lever to snap it into its locked position and BINGO a nice Snap sound was heard and it was locked solid in place. No more tape!!! Thx Compirate.

Why would that piece have been on upside down? That is how it came on the machine!

As for the culprit I uploaded a pic, Dont be fooled by his appearance he is the evil one incarnate. The scorn of Million God and he is probably an illegal on top of it.
If you ever encounter him Run I tell you Run for your lives.

Chloe the French Bulldog is supposed to be on guard duty watching the foul one and what does she do? Sleep ugh.
