Default Star Wars turns on then off

OK this hasn't become a full blown major problem yet but, seems like it could.

About 50% of the time that I turn my Star Wars on, it powers up, lights up, LCD comes on, R2-D2 spins around and then... lights off (except for like 2 small ones) and LCD off and R2 keeps spinning for a while.

The other 50% of the time it powers on and stays on.

So... behaving as normal? should I contact Slotpachinko and get a new PSU?

Almost everyone who has a Star Wars has this problem. It has been talked about a bunch of times. The rule of thought is that it has something to do with the temputure. If it gets a little cooler this seems to happen.

You can probably find tons of threads talking about this issue,

it appears to be a harmless quirk of the Star Wars machine,

Although, interestingly my own has never displayed this kind of behaviour...

    yet...

R2's just antsy cause the machine hasn't been played in a while.

Well phew!!! Glad it's a common issue!

It does seem to happen only when the unit and the house are cold.
