Default More Nishijin help. Part 2

Im slowly but sure;y gettin my rolling stone (is this the correct name?) up and running. Heres my delima. When I launch the balls, the balls seem to be "jumping" and smacking the glass. I'm not sure if its the launcher (it seems straight), or if its a pin holding the launching rail in place. I could be wrong, thats why Im asking for help. Anyone have suggestions?

There is supposed to be a spring on the end of the whacker, it should be tight, no side to side slop. look for somethin in the path it could be bouncing off of. here is one of mine kinda like yours.

The spring is nice and tight. I do notice when I rub my finger across the first pin that holds the ramp in place, it feels higher (not much) than the others. I tried to push it in, but I still get no results.

Is your machine leaning forward at all? lean it back abit to see if it shoots right.

No, my machine is not leaning forward. it does slightly lean back. Could this be a problem? I attatched some pics of my launcher. The first photo is of the launcher itself. Hows it look? The second is of the "pin" that holds the ramp. Its the shiny one on the left side of the photo.

It looks like your rubber stop pad is missing, the spring is a bit too far in the track, your probably getten a bounce off the track, your stop pad on this should be a rubber tube, like a gas line hose, see if it is dented, cracked or missen. that pin looks fine wher it is. take a ball and by hand slide it up along the track, do you feel anything catching? probably not.

IS the door completely closed? That is another way the balls can smack the glass.

Use Windex to clean up all of the dirt! Just a tip

I cant tell if there was a stop pad there or not. I looked at my other nishijin, and it also looks the same. Could you send me a photo of what this looks like? Maybe If I adjust (or try to) the launcher so that it doesnt sit so far in the ramp?

I know, its dirty. I want to get it working before I spruce it up. Yes, the door is completely closed.

Eddie has a point if the inner glass is removed the balls can come loose when they fall.
If you only got on glass put it on the inside track.
The dirt aint bad enuof to hurt nothing yet.

we are just firen off these posts tonight, I spilt ball all over the floor, I might break my fool neck! ha. Ok there are 2 stops, dang didn't expect that. on on top , lighter color and a black rubber block in the bottom, someone added a leather shim on mine, I don't remember doing that.

I dont think there is a stop pad. I'll check and re-post. The glass is in the inside track.

OK. I took some pics. There looks to be 2 pad type blocks that the launcher comes into contact with. One on top and one on the bottom. There is no hose type device at all. This is the same with my other Nishijin and my Sankyo. Maybe I can rig something up to where the spring doesnt go so far into the track. Any suggestions?

that looks right, I had it backwards before, I was looking around trying not to pull it off the table. the pull back or overdraw pad is a tube the whacker one is thick, try some cardboard for a shim just to see if it helps abit.

Just in case anyone reads this. I fixed my problems stated above. The machine works great, EXCEPT...the "seesaw" or regulator (whicever you prefer), sometimes gets stuck in the "down position, so no balls can roll inside it, hence dumping a jackpot. What is a common problem for this? I will try to post a video on youtube tomorrow or friday.

Might I ask what the problem turned out to to be, and how you fixed it??

I pounded that first pin in a little and sorta bent the lauch ramp a tad. It works great now except for the see saw issue.

Sounds like the counter balance may be off. You can adjust it here.
