    Default NISHIJIN pachinko help

I just recently picked up my second pachinko. This one is a Nishijin and has the words "Rolling Stone" above a little elevator on the right side. This one has more wear and tear on it than my last pachinko did. If any one can help me with the wiring ( I stink at electrical work), and advice on how to clean it up a bit. I know how to open it up, but dont know how to get behind the playfield. Also, what size pins or replacement screws should I buy if I take the rusted ones out. Basically, I need my hand held on this one, maybe. I could use schematics if anyone wants to share. Any advice should help. Thanks, mrdo

This site is a gold mine of information for vintage pachinko setup, play and repair.

Wow 2 rolling stone projects at the same time!
The "rolling stone" feature was used on a few machines. Yours is older than mine and the back mechanism is different. The ball goes down the elevator and out the back. on some machines it goes down to a lower hole that is covered up with white tape on yours. My string was broken that attaches the elevator to a counter weight. Had to gently take off the whole thing from the front to replace. At the moment mine is COMPLEATLEY apart. All nails and every piece in the back. My playfield was bubbling up so I am redoing the playfield. the nails are best left in and just polish the heads. They have a twisted screw bottom to them and are a ***** to get out, and US size brass nails fit too loose or too tight. The electric is really basic .. a light comes on if you run out of balls and a light comes on when you get a ball pay-out. Lights aren’t necessary to the function of the machine, but if you want them to work just look at them and you will see how basic it is.

These are so common it would be hard to justify restoration. You could get a nice one for 50. Maby a few good parts or use it as a stand for another machine. I've done this. made a wall of machines, with the bottom and top ones unplayable.

If you take the time to restore that machine it might wind up being your favorite!
