Things I learning in Laughlin NV...

Went to Laughlin for a wedding on Friday afternoon and I learned a few things that may help some of the members here.

    1) Wife does not like slots that pay out with paper slips

She said "I like to hear the clink, clink, clink of the coins... If It makes my wife happy I guess I will have to suffer and get into something besides pachinko machines...oh poor me (insert evil laugh here). Since she likes the sound I now have a reason to buy a slot machine..."You said you like the sound dear, so I bought you one"

    2) The only place in town that we visited and had coin buckets was The Pioneer Casino

    3) I should have grabbed a couple dozen and taken them out to the car BEFORE the buffet... After the Buffet I was distracted by the craps table...

    4) Wife does not like sound of dice hitting craps table nearly as much as she like the clink, clink, clink sound of coins falling into slot tray...Subliminal messaging may be required before I get her to agree to adding craps table to collection of Pachinko and slot machines...

    5) Wife hates $5.00 slot machines... Good thing I only gave her $20's (She thought it was a nickel machine) boy was she mad when she only got four pulls for $20

    6) Wife does like the Craps table when I have rows of green ($25) and red ($5) chips in front of me (but still not enough to let me get one for home)

Another tip, go on a weekday. They'll have a $3 single deck blackjack game at the Flamingo. On slow weekends they may have a $5 single deck game. They also have a $2.99 steak and egg breakfast and a 99 cent beer and popcorn. If you go across the river and have $399 you can pick up a IGT slant top in AZ to bring home.

Darn I miss the monthly $59 Burbank to Laughlin charter. They used to give you over that in comps. You'd go on a Thursday night and come back on Sunday. The room on the Thursday night was $29.
