    Default (Silly?) Newbie question...

Hi everyone, Rod here from North of Toronto.

Just p/u my first pachinko - a Yamato 2 from imatrix - awesome, love the theme gotta find a Harlock to compliment!

I dunno if this is a silly q or we're just getting to know the machine.

When we played it for the first few days it seemed to be able to roll into fever rounds fairly consistently.

The other night I hit 3 fever rounds within an hr! I told my wife I think we should move to Japan if I'm this lucky but sensed that this is NOT normal...

Since then I've played 2 more nights, the first night took me 2-1/2 hours to get a single fever mode (love the theme but the music does tend to wear after an hr)!

Last night I played for 1-1/2 hrs & puckered out before rolling into fever mode at all...

THANKS to to the Lumina manual I downloaded here (BIIIIG thanks!) I checked my rear digital display which shows nothing abnormal (no #'s listed just the dash).

Also every so often on start-up I get a rom-check screen which says all's o.k.

Am I to ASSume that I was getting (super)lucky for the first few days?

Also, just want o double-check - there's no control over reel win ratio??

    Thanks very much!

    -Rod

    WELCOME !!!
Don't worry someone here will be able to answer your questions. I know that sometimes you can hit them right in a row then go days without one.

You're machine is fine and the play is normal. You got lucky when it first came out of the box for it to fever on you so fast. Now you may go through a dry spell with it that depending on how much you play could last a while.

About all you can do is adjust the nails by the start pockrt to make it easier to get a ball in.

If you check the thread, so your new to pachinko you will find the info you seek

Welcome, you made a great choice! I love my Large Yamato 2 and Captain Herlock games. A couple of others you may want to consider would be any of the three Evangelion machine series or the Galaxy Railroad (Milky Way Railway).

Your machine is acting normally and although it is possible to string along a number of "Fever" rounds, my record is something like 18, the actual payout ratio is hard coded at the factory. Some manufacturers build a variety of machines in a themed series with varying payout ratios and often change the cell playfield graphics and sometimes the gameplay as well.
For example, the Large Yamato 2 came out as the ZX, ZF and SF models. Follow this link to the factory site for more information. The Google translation service helps with this.

As previously mentioned, you can increase the number of "spins" by adjusting the nails slightly to increase the number of balls entering the starter generator.

    Welcome!

The machines let you win easily when you first take them out of the box. They know that this will leave a great first impression and undoubtedly get you hooked from the get go. It's all part of their plan to dominate the world.
