Those are neat. Back before mills came along and introduced the automatic pay out (as in slot machines) a lot of machines were for just plain amusement. Some machines were called "Trade Stimulators". When someone won on the machine, the Cigar shop owner or the Tavern owner would pay off in cigars or drinks.
