I recall seeing a thread here somewhere that was a link to some desperate joker wanting to pay a million dollars (or something outrageous) for a real Wheel of Fortune slot machine. Can't find it with search. Any help?

I know someone that knows someone with one that will sell it for $12K. *snicker* I wouldn't even know how to get one of those monstrosities into my living room they're so tall.

I always drop some money in those when I go to the casinos in downtown Detroit.
12 dimes is a little steep though
Maybe in another 10-15 years they will be in the 600-1000 price range like all the others.
I wonder where they got it?
I was talking to a guy here locally that sells the Vegas style machines and he was saying he didn't think those would be out for public purchase for at least 5 years because of the licensing of the Wheel of Fortune name or something like that.

Merv will never let anything with a wheel get released to the public. They destroy those machines when they retire them. The software is the most difficult thing to find and the casinos never let those SIMMs leave. Long story, but the guy who has it is a high roller with connections at casinos. I was told he paid IGT something like $4K to replace the glass because it was out of the dumpster. I like that slot, but not for $12K. Maybe $2K or 3. Themed slots are really hard to get anyway from what I am told. I like the one I have just fine.

Its too bad you never really even see these themed slots come out on a PC game version. I've got a couple PC Slots but there not as fun.
