Default Pachislo Clty - Free Access

Hi guys. Fist of all, I want to compliment Tulsa and David R on their great looking site. Nice job!

Due to the recent events I have noticed the demand for a free message board. In an effort to keep as much information regarding pachislo's organized and in one place, PachisoClty.com will open up the message board for free, and leave the main site as pay access.

"wholesale" machines have also been reduced in price. These prices are now only $25 over our cost, which I think is a fair amount to deal with any troubleshooting, warranty issues, tech support, etc that may arise from the purchase.

This is not an attempt to undermine Tulsa and David R's hard work, and I encourage people to bookmark and utilize both sites.

The script is in the process of being changed over to free access, but for all previous members, you should still be on your 60 days free, so your login will still be active before the transformation takes place.

Any questions, comments or concerns, please let me know.

    -Dave

I don't think I've agreed with any one single thought as much as this all day.

Where do I want to start. hmm...

Could it have started back when you deleted Zcores post back in August about a slimy vendor on ebay because it was your auction? Or all the other deleted posts when they were negative? Like Logic's!

Could it have been when I tried to talk to you over a month about becoming a free site and off setting the costs with advertising? You remember we were discussing this and you abruptly left the conversation after you told me just how much you were making off everyone on the site and there was no way you could afford to do that with advertising?

Could it be all the people you never responded to when they tried to cancel their subscriptions or to get their money back for things they never received?

Could it be that crap that you sent Toonces and while you have the machine back, Toonces doesn't have his money? From four months ago?

You know what it is Dave, we were all just a number to you. A bottom line, a profit margin.

Well David and I set this place up as a non-profit center, because we love the hobby and the people we get to share it with. We don't see the users here as a bottom line or a profit margin. We see them as friends that we enjoy their company and hopefully they, ours.

So now when your entire message base vacates the premises you come crawling over here posting that you're going to be free TOO! Gee what a novel idea! Wish I'd thought of it.

But of course you're not trying to undermine our efforts!

Good luck Dave, but please consider this a my formal notice that you can remove my name from your system. I freely and without duress give you back your two months access.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

i cancelled my pachislocity paypal payments, they don't make it easy, i'm glad info on cancelling was posted or i wouldn't have found it.

so with 2 free months paid on a free site i guess i still lose.

at least i can still use machine lookup till them.

i tried rallying the bulk of the members with a post there, but it looks like mostly lurkers, not many posters.

at least now we have two free message boards

You gotta be kidding me! Dave, since you are now at least looking at this board, maybe you can answer this post.

    Dave,
I really hate airing this here but since you have started ignoring my emails I have no place else to go. What is the status on the Gold & Gold? I did my part. I paid for it. I received the machine broken and promptly filed a claim with UPS for you. The outcome of which should not determine whether I get the machine back repaired or a refund for it. This has been going on since August and now I get no reply. What's the deal?
I won't go in to all of the details here but suffice it to say that I made a deal with Dave that included me giving him cash for a Neo Magic Pulsar and a Gold & Gold so he could buy an Austin Powers. I got the G&G broken to which Dave claims it was packed just like Syscom does and I filed a claim with UPS. UPS picks the machine up delivers it to him and then denies the claim. At least that is what Dave tells me. Or used to tell me I should say. I haven't received an answer from him for some time now. For all I know, they paid him the $500 claim and I am just SOL. We'll see what the Mass. Attorney General has to say about that if I don't get some sort of resolution soon.

Care to see how the Master of pachislocity ships a machine? http://www.poohshouse.net/~ejerue/pachislo/gg/

I got my rattlesnake in better condition and it was put in a wardrobe box and had pieces of Styrofoam (the hard kind) thrown in with it. and shipped from Ohio.

Now, o top that off, I paid my $2.99 on the 25th of Nov for access through Dec 25th. Not to mention the 2 "Free" months that were supposed to come after that. Dave promptly deleted my account so I filed a claim with paypal to which he replied to paypal,"Member has received several months of access". YEAH, PAID ACCESS. I pay $2.99 for the next month of access, not the last month. It is a Pay in Advance system. I am sure paypal will see that he has not provided the required access and refund my $2.99. WooHoo

Be careful Dave, if you get enough complaints through paypal for terminating access, they will drop you. I am sure you are familiar with what a chargeback is and that banks have a low tolerance for them.

Wholesale, what a laugh! gonna piss my pants.

I'd have to agree with him that Syscom's packing is some of the best out there. However, any packing degrades every time it is used. It would have to be a judgment call as to whether the packing was in good enough shape to use it to ship again. Judging from those photos, I'd say it probably wasn't. If UPS declined the claim, they probably thought so too.

In any event, when UPS denies a claim, it cost of covering the damage falls to the seller, not the buyer. He should just eat the cost and refund you're money. If he wants to fight with UPS that is entirely up to him.

One other thought. Part of Syscom's great packing is that they also shrink wrap the machine, giving it one more layer of protection, especially against scuff marks. From the photos it, doesn't look like he did that. If not, that's a shame, since pallet wrapping rolls are available very cheaply at any office supply store.
