Pachinko Smart Card Reader By Daverob

Well pachinko lovers as you know Daverob has been working hard on the smart card reader & smart cards and these will be available to purchase shortly.

Daverob recently asked me because I put up a brief video of the dongle in action if I would do the same of the smart card reader, which I was obviously delighted to do.

Please find this below & rest assured Daverob has again come up trumps and this is another must have piece of kit in my opinion. Simple to set up & use and will finish your machine off nicely to have the card themed to your particular machine.

The video below is just a quick summary showing the card reader in action. I will also post another set of videos which will show how easy it is to set the card reader up & a couple of options that you have with it.

Awesome videos, Chris. Despite the fact you only had one hand left to work with, you were articulate and managed to produce some very helpful videos. Since you are now in charge of "marketing" for Daverob's dongles and cardreaders, maybe he can spring for a helmet cam?

I can't stand it! I'm trying to save up for the dongles and you come up with this! I'm going to have to dig into my retirement!

Truely, these are outstanding! I'm grateful we have some propellerheads (I mean that in a good way :lol8 in this group! Between you and some of the others here with their cabinet ideas, etc, I can't pull myself away from the computer to go eat dinner!

Firstly I'd like to thank Chris for the videos. You've done a really good job of showing off the features offered by the smartcard reader option. To be honest I wasn't expecting them to be quite that comprehensive, so I'm even more pleased with the outcome .

While I'd love to 'spring for a helmet cam', you're going to have to settle for my gratitude, at least until the project is solidly in the black. I did break even and the balance sheet was showing a small profit for almost 24 hours before I had to place an order for some of the parts for the smartcard option. Hopefully the next time it hits a positive number, it'll be for a bit longer .

Do we know what the cost of these will be? These are great!

The smartcard option board will be £10 (approx $20 US or 15 Euro) and will come with one smartcard. Additional smartcards will cost £2.50 each (approx $5 US / 3.75 Euro). Smartcards can be printed with full colour photo quality artwork at no extra cost (for a single sided print).

I'm just waiting for the packaging material to arrive, and then they'll be listed on the auction site.
