cutie honey mod
Hi this is my first post in the forums but I have been lurking for a couple of months.
I received a Cutie Honey from CF Export and the ball shooter did not work. First thing i checked was the dongle and tried one from another machine but that did nothing. I got looking closer and found a cable not hooked up. Powered the machine back up, turned the handle and POP! The dongle lost both capacitors and the board burnt two of the traces off.
After calming down and airing out the room I removed the board and powered up and ran some balls by hand finding everything else still worked.
I figured that instead of trying to trace out what else was wrong with the ball shooter or cr boards to bypass using balls altogether. I hooked the start and go gates to the ball loan and card return buttons and the fever gate to a switch that I installed next to the lever for the tray drain. now all you have to do is press the button to spin the reels. I was also able to remove all of the filthy and cracked ball handling parts from the machine. more of a slot machine now but works great and a one of a kind.
I also wanted to say that this is a very cool group of people and the best resource I have found for my Patchi fever.
