Hello Santa
Hello, I could use some help with the game "Hello Santa" made by Taiyo Co., Inc. All lights and power are functioning, but......The dot matrix display screen, wheels, and coins are not working? On the front of the game a 0 is coming up in the payout and the credit spots (not at the same time, it goes from one to the other) Is this some sort of error code?

Chris, sorry I'm new to this.....Reset meaning on the power supply, or the outside of the machine? I do have the key for the outside, only the inside reset key.

the key switch right below the top red button, needs to be off.
if you don't have a key, you can remove it and put in an on off switch.

You do need to follow this to the letter, don't forget the joy stick to lock in.
the rest key needs to be turned on first, than turn on the machine.
most in the begaining do it wrong
HOW CHANGE ODDS:
"TURN YOUR MACHINE OFF FIRST"
1. Locate internal key switch, and insert key.
Note: In order to change odds, machine must be in idle mode with no tokens/coins or credits being played and off.
2. Turn "reset" key switch to on, to access programming mode.
3. Turn on machine now.
4. Depending on machine type, a number from 1 to 6 will be displayed on one of the LED meters on front door.
5. Locate and push Skill button. Depress button and notice movement of number being displayed in LED meter.
6. Once desired level is displayed (1 to 6), push down on play handle (Joy Stick) for 10 seconds, and depress both "BET CREDITS" and "COLLECT CREDITS" buttons to lock odds level into machine memory.
7. Turn "reset" key back to off.
8. Machine should immediately initialize. If not, turn power switch to the OFF position, wait 15 seconds and turn power switch back to ON position.

A question on your tems...."Skill Button" that is the stop wheel button, correct? If that is correct, my display is not changing numbers, it just keeps flashing 0 back and forth. Sorry, I'm very new to all this and thanks for all your patience!

the skill button may be the red button above the key slot of the power supply
press it and see if the numbers in front change.

Still no change. It dosen't matter what mode the game is in (on or off) the 0 keeps flashing between the credit and the payout. Pretty weird, Huh! This is just my typical luck !Is there a way "hard" reset the game?

Changing the odds is the same as hard reseting the game. Where are you located? Maybe someone near by can fix you up?Originally Posted by millermaster1

Could you take close up pictures of the front and back of your machine and post them? Then it might be easier to talk you through the process with the help of the pictures.

If you know where 7mile Fair is you could be in luck. One of our members runs a booth out there on the weekends, I believe, called 7 Mile Slots. There is also a link to his website in our links section. I'm sure he could fix you up.

The 7 mile fair is very close to Milwaukee, WI. If you stopped and visited his booth I'm sure he could go over the whole procedure with you,
or you could bring your machine to him for checking.
