    Default 3D Without Glasses

In one of the Pachislo Museum posts logicprobe predicted that that someday the machines would have true 3-D (no glasses needed). I guess all the fraud on ebay has obscured the fact that it's been around for over 2 years.

The first pachinko machines with 3D video were Sammy's CR Tamao de Dokkan series. They used Optical Products Development Corporation's "Volumatrix" system. The series made it's debut September 30, 2002. The theme stars Japanese actress Tamao Nakamura. Sloters may remember her from the Tamao de Pon pachislots.

The first pachinko machines with 3D LCD displays were Nishijin's CR Ukiyo-e series.
They use LCD screens with "Derumoni" 3D. The series made it's debut April 14, 2003.
It has a theme based on Japanese Ukiyo-e woodblock prints. Stupid dealer names include "Mt. Fuji" and "Surfer".

Great find! Has anyone in this forum actually seen one of these?

3D pachislos can't be far behind.

Ask and you shall receive, well for a mere buy it now of 129.99:

Ran across this the other day and it struck me as different but I didn't realize how different.

    Some great links... thanks!

Sure wish I had a spare $1,500 for that monitor! Then I'd really get pulled into those first-person shooters that hook me.

Are there any other machines available now, other than that "Surfer"?
It would be cool to own for the technology... but I'm not sure about the theme.

Oh well... so much for my career in seeing the future...
I guess my prediction of Dewey defeating Truman will blow up as well.

I got one of the Ukiyo-e machines recently. It's not really a machine that I would recommend to anyone. I'll try to post something about it when I get back from work.

    That would be great!

I put up the machine in the museum. If you would post the review to that thread. Thanks.
