I'm sure they'll be plenty more on the way. While their business model reminds me of a Revell kit and some superglue, they do seem to have the basic grasp of the fact English titles sell better here.

It is already less then 24 hours and they jacked up the opening bid. There goes the chance of getting one cheep.

Ever notice when a new machine is first listed it starts cheep and suddenly goes a lot higher when there is a lot of talk about it here? Is it just me or am I being goofy?

No, it's not just you. They have people logging in here. They see our interest in specific machines and their price is going to go up until that top price point is reached. Then when demand has diminished, it will go back to down to move the rest of their inventory. I site "Julie" as a classic example. The members went crazy over that machine and the price shot up to it's breaking point of $289.00 A few sold at that, then stopped and the price dropped and I think someone got one for $89.

If everyone wants to influence pricing, everyone would have to stop spending too much with these vendors. When they bring the price down, then buy. Much like Pavlov's dog, a conditioned response can be achieved. It just takes people united in a common goal.

The problem however is we will never act as a united front because someone is always going to want this or that and be willing to spend more. When it comes to spending, we are a collective group of individuals with our own interests at heart. Not a bad thing for the vendor because we then react to the market instead of manipulate it.

United front: A collective group of like minded individuals working in unison to achieve a desired goal. When it comes to our purchasing habits, that we are not. When it's a popular title, we do influence the market, upward. I'm not really sure how you interrupted that as stating I wasn't proud of this site or it's members.
