Star Wars error code 7

I noticed on the back of the star wars machine i have the error code 7. I tried to remove any blockage from payout tank and tank rail . i turned the payout tank empty switch to the right and the balls came right to the bottom. i opened up the case cove to the payout switch and unplugged and replugged the connector. i still see the error code 7. any help would be appreciated.

sounds like you have tried everything from the lumina frame manual, if you dont have this manual do a search, its indispensible.

Did this start acting up on a "cold" start (the unit and transformer unplugged overnight)? Have you tried letting the unit warm up, then resetting by pushing the reset button with the power switch on and holding it in while turning the power switch off, wait a few seconds, turn the power switch back on and keep holding the reset button in until the machine beeps and R2 cycles. This may clear it up.

revmondo, i tried the reset and hold down but still get the error 7. initially it comes on as a 1 and then turns to 7 a few seconds later. r2d2 moves and the video comes on. just the error 7 doesn't go away and the ball going into the hole just fall through. the middle hole sets off the video and spinning

I believe that's the upper reward hopper empty code.

Is the upper hopper full? If so, maybe the 'out of balls' switch is bad.

i drained all the balls out. the upper hopper is empty now.

But when it's full, is it still a 7?

just refilled it and it is still a 7

a full ball dump and refill may help, just make sure you have something in back to catch the balls first

heres a better pic of the stop in the correct open position. this would explain why no payouts and will likely resolve your error message as well.

Check page 21 of the Lumina manual. Sounds like a fault in the 'out of balls' sensor.

Did this just happen or is this a new purchase? Not sure where you would get another one.

On page 9 of the Lumina Manual (http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17105) you will see the payout tank empty switch. Follow the wire for it and double check that it is properly seated. You might also want to check both ends of the wiring on the marked payout unit.

I was looking at the giant picture showing the layout (page 7 of the manual, page 9 in adobe)

When i got the machine the transformer was ripped out from the bottom board that was held on by four screws. i put it back but noticed it now makes a humming noise and it sort of hot to the touch. the two wires that are attached i can see the actual wire through the tubing. could this be doing anything to the machine to cause the error.
