Inline volume control pots install question??

I bought 5 inline volume control pots from Syscom/Pachislo.com to install on Neo Pharoah Zetz, it needs 4 of them, 4 speakers...Syscom/Pachislo.com is sending me 2 more & the 1 extra I have to install myself as they were supposed to be pre-installed in my Super Blackjack i just bought from them....
However i'm a bit confused, 1 place i read you can put them on either wire to the speaker and there (Syscom) directions say to the + side wire????
Which is it and if it is the + side only how can you tell which wire is the + side?
On SBJ top 2 speakers wires are yellow and white... 1 botton speaker wires are both grey?
Not sure on Neo Zetz of wire colors at the moment as the machine is currently at my girlfriends house. But Neo is way to loud!

I found the red wire to the speakers are uselly the plus

I think as long as you use the same colored wire on both or all the speakers, it shouldn't make a difference.

So far i figured out this much: I looked at my King Camel it came with them installed from Stealth, those speaker wires are white and yellow, stealth put them on the yellow wires, Neo Zetz has white and yellow on all 4 speakers, so i will install them on the yellow speaker wire.
As far as Super Blackjack top 2 speaker wires are white and yellow, so i will install them on the yellow also, but the bottom Bass speaker has 2 grey wires, still not sure which 1 on the bottom to put volume chip on?
Anyone????? Is the above correct???? Which wire on the bottom speaker??? Does it matter???

check your bottom speaker and see if it has a plus or minus on it by the connectors.

if not, I would just cut either wire and try it.

What you're doing with these small 'in-line' volume controls is just adding resistance... in-line... in other words, in series... with the speaker.

There really isn't any reason to choose one side of the speaker over the other. Since it's in series (in-line), the total resistance is seen as the same to the amplifier, no matter which side they are on.
