Sounds like you did good - Congrats! Though I don't have it I've heard good things here. I'm sure a member who does have one will be along any time now..

Congrats!! I just got that machine a few weeks ago and absolutely love it! (I won't tell you what I got mine for, but you did good as well) I was never a big pachinko fan but this machine is drawn me to the dark side. I made mine cyclic which makes me enjoy it all the more. The videos are all in Japanese but you can get the idea of what is going one. It has even made me what to get the series the machine is based on.

I will probably buy the DVD's to this series. I was a big fan of the "Star Blazers" series.

I ordered my Evangelion, Star Blazers and Galaxy Railroad DVD's last week.

Evangelion arrived today and is an interesting Anime series that I had missed entirely. The Pachinko's video and audio was lifted right out of the episodes, and is starting to make a lot more sense now that I've seen some of the episodes.

That was my thought with the Galaxy Railways. It should make more sense to me after I watch the series.

Well I'm in good company here! I'm a HUUGE Starblazers fan. Still remember running (no sprinting) home after school in the early eightys to catch the show. Heres hoping if ever a Live Action movie ever makes it to the big screen is doesn't totally blow.

Impression of "Galaxy Railways" after 24 hours:

This is a amazing machine. The Pachi gods have smiled upon me. After playing for several hours we have hit 9 fever rounds. While I didn't keep track, I am pretty sure that we won a fever round off of each number (1-9). At this point, I assume there are big fever rounds and small one. With the big ones going for 9 fevers. Is this what the rest of you have concluded?

(Oh and I am ahead of my wife by 5-4......lol)

The Galaxy Railways game was right up there after Neon Evangelion in the Japanese popularity lists. Both had lots of staying power and were popular for a long period of time.
