Default Help - Hopper Won't Stop!

    Hi all.
I have a King Camel (Sammy) which I just pulled out of the box after having stored it for a year while my basement was being finished. It worked fine when I boxed it, but now the hopper just continues to spin and I have an HC error code. Resetting doesn't clear the error. I even tried the full (rate-change) reset.

I checked all of the connectors on the hopper and they seem to be tight. It certainly isn't jammed as I threw in about 100 tokens only to have it spit them all back out at me. Nothing I do makes the hopper stop turning, short of disconnecting the cable to the hopper or turning off the hopper power switch.

If I leave the hopper power off, I can play a game fine until I win more than the credit counter allows.

What do I do now to troubleshoot this?

maybe one of the top switches is the hopper dump switch and needs to be shut off

You could possibly have a dump switch button that is stuck also or shorted to where its a constant circuit...

Wow. I'm just going to chalk this up to pachi withdrawal. Whatever brain cells used to host some of this basic information must have been sloughed off over the past year.

    Thanks luckydog (and others).

Just to hammer the point home: it is a dump switch. Turning it off and loading up some tokens fixes everything (after a reset).

Feeling a bit silly now.:embarasse
